Producing makes me feel like myself more than anything in the world. I hope you hear the joy, playfulness, freedom, and love I have for this art form in the music.
When I first started producing I lived in a house with an orange door and would tell people who came over to "knock on the orange door." When I moved, I named my new home studio Orange Door Studios. I want this album to be an invitation into who I am as a producer in this moment.

Had the pleasure of meeting you once in Cincinnati a few years back. Moonchild did a show with Kamasi Washington at the Taft Theater. I was enthralled at your musicianship. Not only did you sing angelically, but you also played multiple instruments!! And then you gave us the opportunity to meet out at the bar! What an amazing night!!
