My best interpretation of the songs: 1 Where Light Divides the Holler - A man crashes his vehicle resulting in the death of his lover. 2 God Knows - Man is struggling in dealing with grief and guilt (PTSD) from what happened 3 Forced To Stay - The lover is buried and goes to Heaven while the man is stuck in his current life to deal with everything on his own 4 Contorted in the Faille - The man descends into madness and psychosis from dealing with the grief. 5 Return to Passion - The man, in his madness, decides to dig up his lover’s corpse so he can be intimate with her again. Take that how you will. 6 Permanent - The man realizes just having the corpse isn’t enough to cope so he decides to take his own life so he can be fully with her again. The embrace at the end of the video is them reuniting in the afterlife.

Agreed but I think she's buried at the ending breakdown of god knows and forced to stay is just the period where he's alone and going insane. Cause then, the voices he hears and thinks are her start in contorted in the faille, and drive him over the edge, leading to him burying her up at the end and then into return to passion.

Check out they lyrics to give a little more context, but that's the gist of it. They were in a wreck and she was killed and the guilt eats him alive. He goes insane and digs up her grave. Eventually he commits suicide to be with her again

“Where Light Divides the Holler” is about the initial impact of a car crash that kills the protagonist and his partner “God Knows” Is about the protagonist dealing with the sudden grief and PTSD following the car crash that killed the passenger. “Forced To Stay” Focuses the protagonist spiraling into a deep depression and going through survivors guilt and PTSD. He’s forced to stay in world without his love. “Contorted in the Faille” highlights the protagonist’s descent into madness, as he hears the voice of his partner in his head. Eventually, he becomes convinced that he needs to dig up her corpse. “Return to Passion” is about the protagonist digging up the corpse, and storing it in his walls. The corpse rots, but he is content with being reunited with his love. “Permanent” is the protagonist realizing that having the corpse doesn’t make him feel less alone, so he kills himself to be with his partner in the afterlife

I think one died and one lived in the crash. the one who lived went through various stages of grief and guilt. I think he later took his life to be together in the afterlife. that's what I got from it. songs fuckin rip but damn is it a sad story

The plot was around a man and his wife driving down a road, he hydroplanes and accidentally gets her killed. The rest of the story deals with his extreme grief and agony. I also think he tries to resurrect her before just killing himself to be with her. Pretty dark and heavy shit. I appreciate that you were the only reactor out of the 30+ I've seen who tried to dissect the video.

I saw these guys live a few months ago and it definitely does not disappoint! They played the entire EP and also some of their other popular stuff. Banger show 10/10 if they come your way highly recommend going to see them! Also great video loved your take on the music video!

The tree of life. Thats why his feet were roots. He was forced to stay alive by being bound to the earth with vines and roots keeping him there.

“Wineglass dude” is definitely a girl and she dies on the crash. The guy is losing his mind with guilt. One of the best lines to see this is in forced to stay “we should’ve left before the storm”. It’s also repeated a few times throughout the ep. The glowing butterfly is the girl leading him to his death so they can be together again.

"Faille" is a type of silk fabric. My theory is she died, and he was drug either back to normal life or to purgatory, where he suffered alive and alone until he completed his judgement by killing himself to be with her. She dies in where the light divides the holler, god knows is about the initial grief and ends at the funeral, forced to stay is about going insane trying to be normal without her, contorted in the faille is about him really losing it and beginning to wake up at her grave hearing her voice, return to passion is about digging her up and either necrophilizing the corpse or building a shrine in his walls like the video, and permanent is about deciding he should kill himself to be with her. Closure in a physical form, i.e. action he can take that has a tangible effect on the world and his experience, not in his grief stricken mind.
