I also think the song is about religion. Because he talks about “point the finger, reject the blame, I may cry out for help but I will never call your f-ing name.” And “I did away with the poison but I still feel like I’m dying.” Which I think he mean religion points the finger at you and you should reject that blame cause it’s not your fault, and obviously the person he won’t call out to is god.
