Hello do you know the name of the church in the grounds of the old hospital of the assumption in thurles ?

Why have you not covered the Dundrum school , the history of the thurles train station, knockavilla, lislorne , and the leugh rd where a lot of the travellers lived ? Why is their no sound on this video or a explanation about that this was once a work house before it became a hospital ormthe nun's ofmthe assumption who ran it . Or interview any of the nun's/nurses / cleaners / priest etc who could take about the history of this building?

Thank you for sharing this video! Does anyone know where the folks that died here in 1939 would have been buried at? My great grandfather died here in 1939, Any advice is appreciated thank you 🙏

Hi Mara, a lot of the residents were buried in a graveyard on the site that was removed when the new hospital was built. There is a plaque but no individual names. At that time even if they were buried in the local graveyard there would not be a headstone or marker erected.
