New players fights with new technique while Aaron cook is still a player of old school
@ihsanqistan62627 жыл бұрын
this new scoring systems is still not good for me. love the old version tkdo. just slapping and get point, that slapping thing is not a kick. so why we should learn roundhouse kick and all other kick if just slapping the vest will get point.
@samysdefer7 жыл бұрын
Well, but to be fair... Milad hits him, aaron didn't. So who deserves the points? Its same as in boxing, isnt it? And competition taekwondo is different from amateur competition or poomsae and demonstration. They could do that you have to use specific taekwondo kicks to let the point count... but since taekwondo wasn't developed by just someone, but came from karate, its fair to get developed over time. WT can decide themselves what system they use, obviously. Noone is forced to participate on WT competitions.

Aaron Cook is an oldie and has all the skills in his arsenal, but he lost woefully, because he couldn't break through that push kick you underrate. The same way I'd assume you will lose, perhaps, much worse.

Old tkd and new scoring aside, Aaron Cook fans need to watch this fight to see that he’s very human. Any seasoned kyuroogi fighter can see those common mistakes made when fighting a taller opponent. Did anyone else get frustrated watching Cook try to handle Beigi’s front leg side kick?? That was laughable

What the hell is this? This isn't even fighting anymore. This is slap fighting with feet. The sport has really gone down hill over the last 10 years.
@KNOCKOUT17 жыл бұрын
This sport has a great philosophy, a great past and a great future. And if you wanted to see a lot of blood, then look for something else.
@WineOnTheDime7 жыл бұрын
I would agree with you on the past, but the changes to the rules over the last couple of years make me questionable about the future of the sport. Also, I don't want to see a lot of blood. That's not the point of my comment. TKD as a sport isn't about making your opponent blood. It's about using some of the best footwork and power kicking to score on your opponent. I am upset that they have moved towards relying too heavily on electronic means for recording scoring instead of using the discretion of the judges and use of legitimate power techniques. Gone are the days of only getting points for delivering a "trembling shock" to your opponent through a technique. Now, you just have to align the sensors correctly.
@KNOCKOUT17 жыл бұрын
As if you did not like electronic sensors, but behind them is the future. You can not escape from the technological revolution. Human integrity today, when the victories are worth the money and prestige of countries, at a very high price. And electronic sensors can be adjusted to the desired force of operation, so that there are no "slaps".
@WineOnTheDime7 жыл бұрын
If they would adjust the sensor so the strikes made sense, then that would go a long way in helping the sport. When you can win an entire match without using power, then that isn't right in WTF TKD. At that point, you're just bringing this sport closer to ITF point sparring. I like point sparring, but it's not what I want to see when watching a WTF match.
@KNOCKOUT17 жыл бұрын
I think the sensors are adjusted correctly. The problem is different. The point is in the psychology of the fighter, which is aimed not at a beautiful blow, but at triggering a sensor, the result. In all sports, pragmatists are winning, aimed at the result. And beautiful strokes are a matter of real masters, which you can count on your fingers.

almost all of the milad scores were at the half reach . height has no effect on this match.about the skills cook is very slow in defense too which is also not effected by height .in every match he does nothing until the last minute and tries to score from a tired opponent just by forcing fault which might look good but its not skill
