This guy is super confused. He thinks line lock is launch control and he thinks the shift light settings control shift points for the trans. There is nothing changing with how and when the trans shifts. Track mode to sport and so on will have its own shift points. But changing the shift light points is not when the trans shifts. Its for when you use the paddles, and the light reminds you to shift.

Just got a ‘23 Challenger Scat Pack, and learning some of the computer from your videos. I’m 59 years old, and learned from carburetors, and tuning the distributor lol. This is the fourth Challenger I have had. Back in the 80s I had a ‘70 R/T SE 440 Six Pack, and a ‘71 convertible with a 318. My third Challenger was a ‘13 3.6 Liter, and I really like that car. Ok I just got a widebody and this setting is a shift light set up. This does not change your shift points. It changes when your shift light comes on while driving with paddles.

Just a heads up, it only changes the shift light. Not anything with the transmission itself. So unless your in manual mode and shifting yourself, it won’t change anything.

Yeah that's right, pretty much that was just all track mode working as intended, I noticed it likes to be finnicky at times, there's times where it'd aggressively shift right away out of 1st and 2nd gear before even reaching a high rpm, and others where it takes its time revving right up then shifting

These aren't shift points it is the shift light that comes up on your evic lol. The fact that it took him 5 mins to find the setting shows you how much he knows about it. What changes the shift point is the Drive Mode setting - Street, Sport, Track, track mode of course giving the highest RPM shift points.

They are quicker because they are geared different 10speed vs 8speed...their shift points are quicker therefore they get out quicker. The 392 is definitely heavier also.

Dude need to learn to control his foot. Quit gassing the shit outta the car out da whole. Launch control is for the track basically. Look bruh. Drop your tires down to 28psi. Do a small burnout. Footbrake your car. No launch control. Stall to 1200. When the flagger drops his arms. Let off the brake without giving the car to much gas. Once you get to about 30 mph right b4 it gets to 2nd gear...full throttle it. Tire pressure is everything. You fight a losing battle with the factory tire pressure

the shift light rpm does not change your shift points in auto mode. it lights up your instrument cluster with a red light to remind you to shift while you're in manual mode.

I wouldnt worry about launch control you’re better off just braking hard and build rpm yourself. Also don’t put the suspension on track it’s better to use street so the car squats and digs for traction.

I have a 2019 destroyer grey wide body. Has the corsa extreme exhaust set up & rear diffuser. With a GT Momentum cold air intake & oil catch can. Has the crappy all season Pirelli tires. Up front it’s ok, in back is egh. So I threw on some 315 Nitto 355’s on back. Now it really hooks. Raced a 2020 Duuuuurrrrango. Same set up, only he had just a muffler delete when it came to his exhaust. Of course he is AWD so he took me off the line, yet I hawked him down quick. We roll race @ 30MPH, it’s Bye Bye grocery getter. We laughed it was all love 💕. He said we even we even. He said if your spinning, you ain’t winning. We're all students, but the guy giving instructions is completely and totally mistaken. First, he tells you to turn on "line lock" but you aren't even using it. Second, he tells you that you can change the RPM shift points by altering the RPM shift point lights. All that does is change which RPM the shift light comes on when you are in manual mode. In other words, this has no effect on actual RPM shift points. Lastly, "launch control" software is much more intelligent, responsive, reliable, and faster than the bodies and brains that millions of years of evolution brought us to. Turn it on, follow the four "so simple, even a caveman can follow it" procedures, and hold on.

The shift light is for when you have the shifter over in manual mode. The cluster will light up red when it’s time to shift similar to the viper and stick shift challengers. The light has no effect on actual shift points and only shows when in true manual mode. I’ve got a 2020 Charger Scatpack Widebody and work for a dealership.

Track puts your transmission into the most aggressive mode - I think it changes the engine a bit as well. There are a lot of settings that aren’t documented in owners manual

Dope video bro, one thing I noticed early in the video is that you were in track mode. I have a Redeye and I race it at the track, these cars are heavy so they need weight transfer. Try putting your suspension in street when your racing. It will soften up your suspension so you can move that weight over the rear wheels for launch. 🚀

It don’t raise the RPM shift points or nothing, literally just a light that flashes. Line lock is used to do burnouts to warm up your tires, he had you turn that shit on for no reason 😭
