If you own a Scat/HC or Trackhawk visit your local dealer and have your keys locked. This makes it where even the dealer can’t program key to your car. Just don’t lose your keys or you’ll have to buy new RFH module and keys. A lot of owners don’t know about this option but it’s a must if you own one of these cars!

Had the dealer do a security update but bought extra keys....because once they do it they can't even program new keys....had a lock Smith try to make a new key and he couldn't even hook up to vehicle directly and couldn't locate module.....so the security update works...plus add a carlock and an extra tracker and your done...plain and simple.

Some additional thoughts: Hagerty insurance has agreed value insurance and will insure your car with a zero dollar deductible and for full MSRP without depreciation. If this car is not your daily driver you may find that insurance a great value and much less costly than ordinary auto insurance. Also, Allstate sells a theft deterrent insurance that gets little stickers put on various parts on the car that are hidden and pays you 10k if the car is stolen. With the combination of those two you should be able to sleep easier knowing if the car is stolen you could financially replace it without a financial loss. The guardian system also lets you set a boundary and it will alert your cell phone if the car leaves the boundary. Set your ring tone to a siren for the guardian alert so you notice it quickly. Also hide some air tags in it. They don't cost much but if you name them something not very obvious and put them in hard to find spots or hard to get to spots it gives you one more way to track down the car.

Satellite GPS tracker. Remove a door panel, completely remove rear seat and place it underneath, etc. Install multiple to the point a mf literally has to take the entire vehicle apart to find them all. They make them so small now that hell even after taking the vehicle apart they still may not be found until a thorough inspection is done.

Somebody stuck a screw driver in the door lock of my scat at the dealership while being serviced and destroyed the tumbler,dodge is fixing it. Not sure if they had the alarm armed but I wasn't there to protect it. So not much else I could do to prevent it. I have portfolio theft protection with the Vin etched in the glass but I'm still concerned because I don't think the police care at all

Who's to say the recent cars stolen do not have security systems on them? Have you spoken to the owners about the thefts personally? Accountability is placing blame as the fault and accepting the fact that it happened within their scope of responsibility. A car can be stolen without being driven away. So unless you know it was stolen and driven away and how security wise, you can't blame the owner. Besides, it's not the owners fault there is tech that gets around simply locking your doors with your key with the alarm active. Despite you having security software, you're still paranoid about it being stolen. So it's would be on you for owning one knowing it's a high theft vehicle. The thief is still the number 1 to blame Lastly, you could personally and physically be the best defense from getting your car stolen until the matter is that you're at gun point and outnumbered to give up your Mopar. That's still considered stolen if they succeed, isn't it? Or is that still the owner fault that it happened?

Its ridiculous. As soon as they hear that honk from that stock alarm, its game over. If your system doesnt chirp when you leave it, just believe its a matter of time. The only downside is that really good security systems draw on your battery, so youre going to have to get a good AGM battery that can handle the load when its not running. Also, dont cut corners trying to get a cheap installer on these systems. There is some sophisticated programming and wiring involved that can screw up your electrical system if the shop doesnt have experience. My wires are all hidden

Plus I was still using the password for the car. I’d block my car with my other car inside the garage every day. I wouldn’t drive to movies or malls.
