We have breakfast for dinner at least once a month. My sons' fav is sausage gravy and biscuits. One of our Christmas traditions is brunch where we have chicken fried steaks with gravy, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, and either grits the way you are preparing, or toast or biscuits on the side, and lastly -a fresh fruit or fruit salad. Serving it after the kids do their stockings etc in the morning. Where as christmas eve, we have the more traditional meal for dinner, usually a pot roast with all the fixings. 😋

Love this video Meghan!! Ok, when I was a kid, mom would make the cornmeal (grits) the night before. She spread them in a shallow pan (cookie sheet height). Refrigerate over night. Slice into sticks about 1.5”x3” and fry them in hot oil until the are browned on the edges and puffy in the center. Fresh butter and some maple syrup…your kids will do a happy dance! Soooo yummy!

If you can ever get your hands on it, try some stone ground grits ( I am in central Mississippi so I get mine from Sciples Mill ). When I met my husband 39 yrs ago he put sugar on his grits 🤢. I converted him over to salt and cheese!

Nice car, yeah for the kids to have transportation. Question are you still food prepping if so what have you added besides the rabbits, chickens and outdoor garden. You should try planting your avocado seed. The food looked delicious. I would've tossed in some Fritos. YUM! I always "experiment" with leftovers to see what I can come up with.be blessed 💕

Love this one! I really like your hodge podge videos lol. Actually, I just like them all, whatever. Grits are fabulous. I started making breakfast for my kids and it has really changed things. Not even sure how to explain it. I had one daughter who just wouldn't eat breakfast but then when I started cooking, things changed. :) Mind didn't always make the best choices when they had to do it themselves. Thanks for sharing!

Loved that simple dinner. The singular of tamales is tamal. Rick Bayless has a KZbin channel, I’ve learned a lot from him. His Carnitas recipe is really good. His bottled green salsa is the best of the bottled ones. But making your own is not difficult at all and much better than bottled.
