I wanted lots since I was 19 but listened to everyone that said I shouldn't do it. Now 42 hair is thinning but I'm lockin up anyway don't care what other people think cause they make me happy and feel more connected to the earth....not to mention the freedom that truly comes with it...

Hey Not, I’m going to just agree with you a little on the washing out of the sea salt, I think it’s a personal preference because when I swim in the ocean, I leave my body salty for at least a couple of days…….. and my skin or my hair never gets itchy1❤️💛💚 But then I will grab a shower with Dr. Bronner‘s and then give my head a good soak with some aloe :) feels so good!

I've had my locs for 6 an half months and yes I did instant locs and I did them thicker because of preference I don't like skinny locs. My problem is they started matting at during this process and they got cut to separate them, which wasn't a good idea! I have all that loose hair now. I did them for religious reasons, Rastafarian, regardless of skin color, cause I'm white with native american, but I believe in Jah. Little frustrated cause no one in my area knows nothing about maintenance, yes I like some myself. Refuse to cut cause it goes against why I did them. Outta of N.C.
