Thanks Peter for these set up instructions, your explanations are clear and informative. At last I know exactly what I need to do to get the bandsaw cutting true.

Thanks for this video - really informative. I have the same bandsaw, but when I try to spin the top wheel, (as you demonstrated), it is very stiff, in comparison to how yours spins so freely. I have checked the tension & even when the blade is off it is still stiff. Any suggestions what the remedy is?

Hi Desmond, Your bandwheel should spin free with the bandsaw blade removed, id which bandwheel is tight by turning by hand and with the machine unpluged, you can even take the tension off the motor drive belt, check no piece of timber is causing the issue, also the guides are these ok. PW.

@@RecordPowerTV thanks for getting back to me so promptly. I appreciate all your suggestions - which I have already tried - so at least I know I’ve been attempting to do something right! It’s strange I just can’t seem to find why this is the case. I have thoroughly cleaned & checked for any debris, I’ve oiled all moving parts, I’ve backed off the guides & the thrust bearings to ensure the blade isn’t in contact at all, but still no joy. I’ll keep looking , but thanks again for your help

How much adjustment do the four bolts on the trunnion provide? The BS350S maintenance series has been excellent and much appreciated but I was never able to get the table square to the blade using the method described. In the end I had to undo the two bolts that fix the trunnion bracket to the frame and start from there. There was some evidence my saw had been dropped in transit to me so perhaps the trunnion assembly was jolted out of specification. Anyway I now have everything squared in three planes.

Hello Paul, thank you for your comment. The two grub screws below the main table are the main point for those fine adjustments. Any adjustment here must be done with the main fixing bolts released first, otherwise you will not be able to make any movement of the table without risking damage to the taped holes in the alloy block itself. Due to the size of the table only small movements of the grub screws need to be made, do a little and check for best results. Hope this helps. Best Wishes, Record Power.

I have carried out the setup as shown in this video but My fence is not perfectly vertical to the bed. Is it possible to adjust it?

on my saw the blade is touching the black plastic in centre, which four nuts need to be loosened before I use the mallot as shown in this video
@RecordPowerTV3 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for your comment. First, slacken off the four bolts or cap screws below the table, these are at the four corners of the trunnion into the cast table, and only do enough so that the table can be lightly tapped/knocked with a rubber/nylon mallet. Once in the correct position, nip up the screws from opposite corner to corner and fully tighten. Hope this is helpful to you. If you would like any further assistance at all, please contact our Technical Support Team on 01246 571 020 or email sales@recordpower.co.uk. Best Wishes, Record Power.

Hi, A 13 inch spanner? Mm? Excuse me, but I listen very carefully at what is said or what is shown and done. I' m not a nasty creepy little Gollum, but if anything interests me, I'm thoughtful. Don't think I always do this, but I bought the same machine and I am therefore more focused. A very nice angle to film, thank you very much. Keep it safe, it is not over yet. Willy from Belgium. 😷😷😷

Hi Willy, Good that you have the same bandsaw, mine is very old, still works well, just in need of a bit of spring clean :)
