As a dc native I can say the number one piece of advice I have if your a visitor (or resident) DO NOT DRIVE IN THE CITY you are much better off taking the metro, choose a hotel near metro and if flying fly to Reagan national or Dulles as they have direct metro connections and from Reagan if your going to downtown or Maryland the yellow line will get you there much faster than the blue.

Thank you for the video. I wanted yo ask if you pay $ 1 each time you hop on the bus or is the ticket valid for a number of stops?

$1 and use the transfer free for 2 hours.

@@gisbigfootanswersadding on to what you said, effectively what happens is when you tap in for the next two hours you’ll have a one dollar credit on your card this would work for a free second ride or could be a dollar off a metro bus or metro train.
