This is a very good lesson! I always ask chess streamers to do this, but almost nobody does! Analysis an amateur game (ideally under 2K ELO), because the subscribers have that ELO range and it is more useful (according to me) to see an analysis like this than an analysis of Ding-Nepo game! Thanks!

I do this all time both on youtube and on stream...

This was a really good video, and really helpful to be a fly on the wall in a lesson. Having that room to think along with Daniel really helps soak it all in 🙏

Which game collections do you recommend to intermediate chess players (1200-1800)? I'm currently reading Reti's 'masters of the chessboard' and it's on the spot for my level of understanding. I don't mind descriptive notation as long as the book is written specifically for instructional purposes not just for inspiration and pure joy. And do you think Kasparov's 'my great predecessors' series fits in these criteria (not too hard for a 1800 on lichess)? BTW, great content as always.

kasparovs MGP is a lot of engine lines that will go over 90% of players heads but mikhail tals life and games is a classic

@@freddiewaller6700 yeah. I've heard the same critic from other experts, lengthy and exhaustive variations which makes Kasparov's series difficult to follow, especially for amateurs. And about Tal's book, it's almost on every list of recommended game collections. So It must be good!

Ever wonder why Chess experts who say you shouldn’t study chess openings say you should study great games. All my favorite Opening books are great game collections. Posted for the algorithm.

I missed the mate in two as well. :) But somehow I did find 1. ... Rd3+ (not taking the queen, but disconnecting it from the d-pawn) 2. Kg2 Qg3+ 3. Kh1 Qh3+ 3. Kg1 Bxd4+ 4. Rf2 Qxf2+ 5. Kh1 Rh3#

Idea for Chessable or book. In comparison to Chernev Most instructive Games of Chess Ever Played….. You should write Know Thy Classics.

Guys you know what would be more awesome than those series of games played between Andras and Simon? BIG Mio AKA The Butcher vs Chess Coach Andras! What you guys think? It would be a bit like Botvinnik vs Tal!
