Stupid question time Alec! Should the one thing I am losing sleep over be that my chanter I've ordered doesn't come with a twisttrap, is this that big a trouble that I need be concerned? No i do not drool😂 thanks in advance Also would you recommend an up grade from a q1 reed? The chanter is a Scotts Piperschoice. Huge thanks again!

@@markras7373 No worries Mark! A twist trap is not a necessity, I’ve never used on myself. The Piper’s choice chanter and the read it comes with Will do just fine!

You mentioned a 9 hole chanter in another video. My chanter is 8 holes. Is that different than a 9 hole chanter?

good catch! sorry about my error Bob. there should be 8 holes (from which we can make 9 notes)

Is a Practice Chanter the same no matter what type of Bagpipes you choose?

The Practice Chanter will have the same fingering as the Great Highland Bagpipes or Scottish smallpipes as well as most borderpipes. The uilleann pipes however are a whole different kettle of fish!

@@GetBagpipeReady Yeah me too I also found a bag pipe on eBay which also came with 106 so I’ll have one extra that’s low quality if it turns out to be good or not and my daughter 9 and the oldest one Which is 12 years old wants to learn it as well

@@GetBagpipeReady yeah maybe there is one song I do you wanna learn though I forgot the whole song but the part I do know is this you take the highroad I’ll take the low road and will meet in the middle but I KZbin that song and the song that came up with is not the one that I remember and I did ask you this question but instead of my phone put on KZbin it put Google but it would be nice to learn that song if you could play it I know it’s an old song it’s probably really old song
