While driving, I would hear a relay click and all switches ( mirror heater, utility lamp,rest in that row), including hvac, are dead. Later on, relay clicks again, and power is back on.

Hi there. I purchased a 2015 cascadia that the cab caught fire and was completely gone, so I replaced with a used 2015 cab from a good salvage truck, same engine and transmission, but the truck will not start, do you think that the sam cab needs programming or it may be another issue? I conected a scan tool and it cannot communicate with the truck ECM.

The two trucks MUST be exactly the same. You could compare both Sam Chassis. If they are exactly identical then no programming is neccessary.

Does the cab sam control turn signals & windshield wiper functions? They both work fine after being parked for the night but a couple hours into a run, they function erratically!

The turn signal/wiper switch controls your issue not the Sam cabin or Sam chassis modules. Sam’s just do input and output signals for components to work they need switches or inputs to do work. Hope this helps!

I have a 2014 Cascadia with a DD15 and my taillights flash by themselves during the night with the truck not running and the red light is blinking on the black box that says Main PNDB and when the truck is idling it will just shut itself off sometimes after about an hour so does this mean I need to replace the PNDB box? Any help will be very appreciated.

Are Cascadias the only ones that drip water over important parts or does this issues apply to Volvo, KW, Pete?

I've seen it from time to time in various other makes and models but unfortunately the Cascadia seems to be the worst culprit.

@@TheDieseler Any suggestion to protect the electronics? I have changed windshields, gaskets etc. Next should be a class action suit against Freightliner.

Thank for all your video I Q and I need help….I want to replace upgrade my instrument dash gauges since I have the basic Square one…I bought one but it say “no buses “ I believe..can I program my Sam cap to work ….. • 2nd thing …my truck didn’t came with a lot of options like let’s say footwell lights….how can I add them the right original way ….I’m in Houston can travel anywhere as long someone know what he’s doing 🙏

You would have to make sure your Sam has the pids to work with all the extras you want to add on. Meaning if your Sam can work with the door well lights you add on with the switch. All sams can be programmed to work with different components or add on components but you have to know how to set up the Sam when you program it. What you are asking for is expensive, just letting you know! Hope this helps!

Hello mr. I'm having the Cab33 code and going to replace the Sam cab. Can I do that without reprogramming the new one.. because that I'm getting it from my other truck that are the same year and model but different engine.??

Cab33 is the trucks way of telling you the Sam Cab is broadcasting a fault, but it may not have failed. It's best to get the actual faults from it and diagnose those before replacing it. In some situations the Sam Cab controls things like starting the engine. Depending on the parameters between the 2 trucks, swapping them without reprogramming may lead to problems.

The freightliner dealer told me that I have to replace it. And the other truck does have the same engine dd15 and same year so I'm going replace it and see. Thank you very much for the information.
