People who's forefathers belong to Punjab (which was once so large that it touched Delhi and included Lahore on the other side) are said to be Punjabi... You are right that most of the Delhi Punjabi's migrated from West Punjab. However, Mr. Ignorant this is not pendu, it's just a different dialect. Amritsar and Lahore areas speak Majhi dialect of Punjabi. There are other dialects too....doabi and malwai to name a few.
