RE: PAUSING, EXPRESSIONS & AIR-INSTRUMENTS:
Please be mindful that we will pause (we prefer to react in the moment & to avoid copyright strike), we will react with enthusiasm, smiles, tears, conversation, exchanged looks and air-instruments. We are expressive by nature and are truly very quirky in every sense of the word. This is who we are and this is what we’ve got to offer. The drummer is Louis Cole, who is a true musical genius and an amazing multi-instrumentalist. All of his projects are spectacular. Knower and Clowncore are both brilliant groups, but Cole's solo stuff is truly next level. It's a beautiful mixture of funk, pop, and modern jazz. I STRONGLY suggest watching his 2019 live concert that he has on his KZbin channel. You've never seen anything like it.

Great selection of tunes. Thanks so much for featuring what I see as part of the future of jazz. I stumbled across the Knower duo of Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi a couple of years ago. Love it so much. And they've been around for many years - Lady Gaga is 2014 but All Nothing...is from 2023 so they have a dedicated following. And both Cole and Artadi have full solo careers, particularly Cole, who released a new album last year. Suffice to say its a fun and diverse rabbit hole indeed. Thanks Nick!

*DAVE! Thank You! I HAD to share this band with N&L as a "Surprise" because I'm a Metalhead & Progger primarily, but listen to other musics that have HIGH creativity and musicianship, and this just blew me the F away.* I wish Lexi was there for this one, but I KNOW she is gonna' rock out on this! It's possible Nick has missed my texts and comments about these guys. Knew NOTHING about them until running into their videos by accident maybe 3 months ago . . . and they've been around for "10" years. They look like they are all under "30" at the time (I am actually surprised that they are older!), but there is SOOOOO much talent. Like "fords" said; "...what I see as part of the future of jazz." Overtime alone, I must have seen over 20 times already, already on a themed playlist and would LOVE to see these guys live. The Keyboardist "Rai Thistlethwayte" Thiss-sil-wait (wow! he's actually 40) has been making the rounds at NAMM but has a successful career in various bands and as a session player. Get this, currently with "Joe Satriani" (Nick checkout his wiki-page, has influences after our own hearts). The "band" has many interchanging members, but on Overtime, I think vocalist "Genevieve Artadi" & Bassist "Sam Wilkes" (THE "STANK FACES"!!!

Thanks to you both!! I mentioned our conversation to them when we were at dinner one night and also told them we were getting tickets but they've been pretty busy!! Hopefully this marathon will convince them to come with us. Another one of my favorites is More Than Just Another Try. So haunting... It's rare that I will even listen to something just from a comment, but I was so intrigued about how much you raved about them I had to check them out. The only other time I did this was due to a Gentle Giant comment and I'm so glad I did as that, also, was a life-changing experience! I have learned I should do this more often! It's relatively difficult for me to discover music that really captures me, which is a huge factor in me following this channel (Nick and Lex being amazing people aside). In fact for many years I didn't even listen to any new music because I couldn't find anything that excited me. So again, thank you thank you thank you!!!! I'm so excited for their show next week.

@@shiftingperception Same here (behind on videos), and on top of that, creating a 3 Part "Themed" playlist that started on "Cassettes" when I was in my 20's :p. Glad my "Request" paid-off :D. BTW - what is _your_ 1st name? Nick mentions it often, but I'm BAD remembering names. I may have a few new "Prog Metal" (and Harder Progressive Rock) compilation playlists to share with you (and whomever else is interested :).

If you’re cool with this, it’s time to go down the rabbit hole. Knower drummer Louis Cole and sax player Sam Gendel are also - allegedly- members of ClownCore. Be prepared, because this is bizarre, but also astonishing musicianship. Take a look at either ‘Earth’, or even better ‘Computers’. I promise, everything will be different.
