Excellent video. It helped me set up my box and the time and date information was very helpful. Yes, the slot for the micro sd card is wrong...I first tried to insert it but it wasn't engaging so I was super confused as to how to install it. Yep, aim downward like you said!

I still use my s2pro which I bought about 4 years ago and still works fine except they stopped sending me updates about a years and a half ago. But I still watch movies and ppv on weekends with it. Be aware they only send you updates for about 2 years to force you buying a newer model.

After watching a movie for about 2 hours, it starts freezing and starting every 30 seconds. til the end of the movie. Ive only watch 2 movies since Ive had it. Thanks for the tips. 95+% of the reason to buy any of these preloaded boxes is for the live TV and VOD content. The real question is how good is the back end streaming service. How much does it buffer? What is the resolution being streamed? I had originally purchased a SB V1 unit years ago, but sold it on ebay in a month's time, as the buffering was terrible and most of the content was 480p. I'm sure it's improved by now, but does anybody have real life experience on the stream quality and buffering?

Hello. Thanks for the informative video. I have a couple of questions. 1, when I first started up the box I didn't put screen to 100% I think it was at 98%. How do I get back to that screen to place screen at 100%. My 2nd question, I have my box plugged into an amplifier but it only plays in stereo and not surround. To adjust the screen size, Go to Settings-Device Preferences-Display & Sound-Advanced Display Settings-Screen scaling To setup the audio output, Go to Settings-Device Preferences-Display & Sound and there choose the sound options you want

I'm having an issue with turning it back on. I watch tv turn it off and the smart box shuts down and there's a red light. When i hit the power button on the remote the box wont come back on I have to unplug it and plug it back on to get it back on. Any idea why or how to fix it?

Try to update it. Settings, about, system update . The red light should disappear when you turn it off

I don't know about the Monster Box but I can tell you that audio quality highly depends on the audio output. If you have good speakers, you'll have good audio. The S5 Max itself has good audio when I hook it to my Edifier R1700BTs speakers

The only fix I found for this is to change channels so that it gets the information from another CDN (Content Delivery Network)

my s5 max is good but i have 800mbps internet, when i plug in the ethernet, it does not work. Live tv is stuck at 98%. Are you having this issue after turning off the tv first? Apparently the box goes into sleep mode if you turn off the tv before turning off the box. When the box is in sleep mode, you have to plug and uplug it. This seems like such a major design flaw am I missing something??

Depends on how you use it. It couldn't hurt, because most of the apps play movies a little less than legally. (Though you are only streaming, not downloading or uploading anything, so it is a bit of a grey area. Not sure on the actual laws on that.)
