Did this seem like two completely different movies to anyone else? The Michael Keaton stuff was so serious and well acted. Then the police stuff seemed like it was pulled from a schlocky 80s b-movie. A regular Tums Festival! Best movie ever.

Good point! Tonally there was some distance between the two but ultimately it worked for me!

Was a good movie very dark at points but it didn’t dwell to much on the darker themes stuck to important plot points to keep the story moving. They all have to do DEI now but this movie didn’t crowbar it in it’s just lightly sprinkled and doesn’t get in the way of the story.

I really enjoyed the film as well. It will be interesting to see whether Keaton carries on directing. I hope you take this with the affection with which it's meant, but when one of you said early in the review that Michael Keaton is known primarily for comedy, but people are starting to take him more seriously as an actor, I got that Scooby Doo bemused face, because he broke out of the comedy pigeon hole nearly 40 years ago, and the career renaissance he's still riding from Birdman is ten years on. I know it was said in the context of being a fan, but it's funny how impressions lock in when we're younger. I'm 50 myself, I remember Johnny Dangerously and all that. Our man's versatility is well established. Can't wait for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice though!

What a sad addition to a movie I would pay to see at theaters, by this I refer to the forced deprived misguided lost souls that perceive a narrative where a detective investigating a crime would concern himself or herself over the perpetrators /victims pronouns????? The deceased or perpetrator is a male or female then clarification of the its misguided mental state would be noted! Suzy Nakamura character was once again forced to include this ridiculous agenda to perpetuate this nightmare that faces the majority of stable balanced audiences around the world. Confused hollywood wake up and realize the masses shall not tolerate this delusion for much longer! Perhaps that is the agenda to cause friction and standby to watch the sparks turn to flames is the end goal sadly I may add?
