*To the people mad at Drake being called a colonizer but not when he literally had a song and said “whipped and chained like an AMERICAN SLAVE” then you’ve missed the justification of Kendrick’s anger. As well as a lot of Black Americans called him out for that line and how he made sure to emphasize it being American slaves and not even just a slave. Yes Drake is half Black American but he’s also a Canadian born and raised Jewish biracial man too and completely steps over the line and doesn’t respect his Black side at all besides making money from it. He was raised as he stated from his own mouth in an all Jewish suburban area and we’ve seen him even have a Bar Mitzvah music video. He absolutely never would dare disrespect his Jewish side and most likely never would in any song.*

Drake also said Kendrick acts "like he's freeing the slaves" on Family Matters which implies that people who like Kendrick's music for the radical and pro black messages are slaves in Drake's eyes. I doubt Drake meant it that way, but that makes Kendrick's point more important: Drake is so far from the culture he doesn't even realize when he's implying that black people are slaves.

Finally someone who is breaking that part down!!! Thank you. I geuss we the only that has watched drake's back story. He is so contradictory his own shit it is not even funny. He is from mid up class speaking like a fresh block gang bang for the 90's kid type audience that is just punk shit. The industry says we don't give a fuck what you do but carry that shit with respect. That is what Kenny doing on him while showing him his outstanding balance about the bullshit. Ken has alway's had my respect from how he can get into different perspectives and through shit back and back with it. Not sorry, Drake fan's got it so fucked up with saying he up on Ken.

Old white lady here, putting in my opinion for what it's worth. I grew up in LA county, about 5 mi from Compton. Our high schools would play each other. I saw the hip Hop rise in the 80s and 90s. Hell, Snoop went to my friend's birthday party like 20 years ago. I haven't exactly been up to date on the scene, life gets in the way, but I still listening to music. When I first heard of this going on, I was curious because I've heard that Kendrick is just an amazing Lyricist and a genius of his generation. I know about accusations but I don't know too much about the facts when it comes to Drake. Maybe it's just because I'm born and raised in southern Los Angeles county, but Kendrick is beyond winning this. Drake is finished. Even if some of the accusations aren't true, he's done. I might be biased, but I think Kendrick has authenticity and credit the Drake never has had and never will, beside the fact that Kendrick just has nuclear talent. Drake cannot win this battle. At this point, Kendrick is like a cat playing with a dying mouse. He's just batting Drake back and forth, waiting for him to stand up again so he can just knock him down. This is a prime case of f around and find out
