I think the reason alot of people say they prefer his old stuff is because they miss the "attitude" they miss the extra little bit of anger and snarl he had in his punchlines , now his punchline is more him emphasizing it so hopefully people understand the doubles and triples hes laying down. He had a real anger to him back then.

Marshall and shady are two sides of the same coin. To get rid of one who have to get rid of the whole coin. Marshall needs to go full kamikaze on a track where he murders shady and himself. You can't only kill part of yourself, that's rather a flesh wound. Maybe it's leading to some 'the resurrection of slim shady' kinda stuff 🤣.

Explaining the album concept here, because its crazy how many people dont understand, we are getting all Slim Shady eras in this album and Eminem telling us Slim Shady can not die, but he needs to move on...... EDIT HERE : BTW, since posting this on twitter, this received a like from Mr Porter... So I am pretty sure, this is exactly the idea of the album :) This song is Eminem accepting Slim Shady (One of the 12 steps) and beating his addiction. The album is taking us on a journey of Slim Shady to who he is today, Slim Shady is his addiction that he is constantly fighting. We open the album with classic Slim Shady, the voice, the flow and rhyme patterns make this very easy to identify. Then we move to Habits where Slim (His drug addict side) forces himself to try a pill and settles on just taking half, this is the start of Eminems drug abuse. We move to the skit where he takes alcohol and pills combined, which leads us into Encore Slim Shady and the "brand new dance" track, taken directly from Encore, this is Eminem at his drug abuse stage. We then come to Evil, Lucifer and Antichrist, these are the relapse era Slim Shady, getting his kicks from murder, in one of the tracks he even uses a scheme and flow from Stay Wide Awake, from Relapse. We then move to Houdini, this is where Eminem is now getting clean but fighting with his addict self, the music video shows us this also. By GC2 we have Recovery Eminem, he is now sober and can control his addiction, Slim Shady represents this by telling Eminem a lot of truths about how at one point, he made Eminem who he is (his drug addiction, made him that crazy rapper saying things we all laughed at) This is highlighted in the song by Eminem accepting what Slim is telling him (This can be seen as one of the 12 steps) and once that happens Eminem says to Slim "let me go" and Slim does this... Eminem beats his addiction. The rest of the album is Eminem today, Head Honcho he copies what he did earlier and uses a flow and scheme from the MMLP2 album. By the end of the album we have the "what if" song, "Somebody Save Me" This is Eminem reflecting on what would happen if he did not beat his addiction, but still shows the thought is always on his mind... The album then loops, and repeats, the end of the album sets up the beginning and the promo work we seen, (Shadys hand coming out of the grave) We go on a journey through his career as an addict and the cycle repeats, showing that he is constantly fighting addiction, but he can keep winning.

Today was the first time I’m listening to the “Knox Hill Channel”, I knew there was a lot of hidden messages on the “Houdini” track so I was looking for someone to break it down, it was such an amazing breakdown, I’m now on my 5th Breakdown/Reaction on this channel . This dude is freaking is at a PHD Level in understanding & dissecting these things. I was 17 when the first Eminem Album came out. I was in the Army from 1999-2006 & we’d blast Eminem Songs before patrols or missions to help get amped up to get in the right mindset. I have a weird connection to Eminem because his music was apart of very pivotal point in my life & unbeknownst to any but the people in the barracks, his Music was deeply connected to a lot of things you’d see on CNN. Little did people know 45 mins prior we were blasting “Soldier” or “Till I Collapse”right before some historical gunfights/battles, one that a lot of people may remember is in Mosul when we killed Qusay and Uday Hussein, we were jamming Eminem “Soldier” & Disturbed "Down With The Sickness" when Uday & Qusay were UnAlived by the "Mostly Peaceful" dudes firing RPG's & Machine-guns at us, we gracefully Merica’d the Mansion while "Spreading Democracy" with 25mm, 240B, 5.56, 7.62, 50cal, LAW anti-tank rockets, & 120mm Smooth Bore Cannon so they could go meet the nonexistent 72-Virgins that weren’t wanting for them. That’s not political, those were Evil Dudes & deserved to die but 20 years later we’ve found out it was all a LIE & we had no business in Iraq but it’s still a historical time period in history. I’m now 43 & was turned-off by Eminem when all the Race Hustling & Manufactured Division was playing out around the World. It was very disappointing due to his massive influence he holds not only on younger generations but middle aged white dudes like myself that he chose to be so Divisive in a really bad time, so I intentionally avoided his music the past few years but glad I started paying attention again because he is a GOAT & SlimShady doesn’t discriminate when he’s issuing insults & attacks. It’s so cool to be able to have these Artist Music dissected for those of us who’s brains don’t comprehend as fast & clearly like this genius breaking it down for us mere mortals.. Thank you 🙏…This has been very Nostalgic… Music can bring back & connect so many memories we normally would never think about or remember…

You pointed to the fact that he starts agreeing with Shady and I find it interresting that's when we start hearing the melding of voices, like he's submitting to Shady and turning back into him. Up until that point he's fighting with shady and there's clear distinction between both voices. But it's like he's accepting him at this point. Shady is making valid points. But he shifts from those valid points to ad hominem attacks, starting with "now look at you, now you're just a punk". That's when the the blended voice starts to fade and Em sees Shady is back on his bullshit and starts to resist him again.

Crazy thought about Eminem saying "it's your 3rd" The 3rd amendment right is one that doesn't allow the military to reside in your home during war times. This song is Slim taking Marshall hostage in his own house. It may be a stretch, but Slim wasn't willing to give him the freedom of speech or rights to bare arms at this point.

How is he holding him hostage in his house? Jesus Christ people have missed the point of this album lol. They aren't 2 separate people, there is no house or physical fight, there is no gun, knife or zipties. The battle is in his head, its his sober side fighting his drug addiction (Slim Shady) This song is Eminem accepting he is an addict and controlling his addict side...

20:53 this reminds me of something, I don’t remember what 😅, but where a person was talking to their inner child/ their child-self, and that child was angry. They were angry because of seemingly being rejected by their adult-self, when the reason why they acted that way was to preserve themselves. The adult-version then basically has to acknowledge their younger-self. But, yeah, it feels like Eminem is reconciling with who he was, but it is only a one way reconciliation.

A fan theory suggests that Eminem's album "TDOSS" tells a different story when listened to in reverse order. The theory breaks down as follows: 1. Somebody Save Me: Foreshadows Marshall’s death. 2. Guess Who’s Back: Signals the return of Slim Shady. 3. Tobey: Slim Shady shows up when things don't go as planned. 4. Bad One: Suggests Marshall's job is done and he disappears. 5. Temporary: A letter to Hailie before he dies. 6. Head Hancho: References the story of Ezekiel and Slim Shady's creation. 7. Guilty Conscience 2: Slim Shady laughs after Paul hangs up, indicating it wasn’t a dream. 8. Breaking News: Slim Shady shows Marshall the chaos he's started. 9. Houdini: Paul wishes Marshall luck, thinking he's on a tangent. 10. Road Rage: Slim dyes Marshall’s hair blonde again. 11. Fuel: Indicates the reaper is coming for Marshall. 12. Antichrist: Mentions Kurt Cobain and hints at Marshall's end. 13. Lucifer: Sets up the finale with a switch between Marshall and Slim. 14. All You Got: Slim asserts his dominance over Marshall. 15. Evil: Foreshadows Slim's complete takeover. 16. Brand New Dance: Slim shows his evil by mocking Reeves. 17. Trouble Skit: Slim drugs and ties up Marshall. 18. Habits: Marshall struggles while Slim forces him to take a pill. 19. Renaissance: Slim buries Marshall and spits his first solo track without him, hinting at the unleashing of Slim Shady in Side B. The theory encourages listeners to play the album in reverse order to experience this narrative.

well i think the reverse order is more correct cuz it would explain that laugh after paul hangs up. And I think when slim wanted to dye Ems hair back blonde to trick ppl that it was him who died but really was Marshall.. Also the steve berman skit when Marshall calls him, Steve asks him, arent you supposed to be dead... then i think hes gonna drop Slim Shady LP2 i mean he has to since hes back and now would be perfect cuz he can do it without it being random- he needed an in to bring shady back to drop such an album sequel. and they did hint in that same skit of another album. another fact in houdini video slim has white shoes and Em has Black... in the grave skit its white shoes.. which means its slim that spits on the grave.

Knox, Napoleon wasn't short for his time period. He was depicted as short by the British because he hated it so much. And, the French inch was slightly longer than the British so his "stated" height would be shorter by British measurements. He was apparently just under 5'6" when the average Frenchman was slightly over 5'5".
