If you are going to do the album (I really hope so) then can I recommend going in order, as that is how Namjoon specified it should be listened. Also please be wary of current translations. They will be rushed and inaccurate. I’m sure we can send you decent ones if you don’t mind. @@Elenea__21 hey, seeing you say that you feel that time stopped and that youre just doing the same things everyday, again and again, i really relate to that on a very deep level. im 15, and sometimes i feel the exact same things too. what i sometimes do that helps me is to just try add something different to my day each time, whther it be a 1hour of bts content/music/anything bts that i have set aside for myself, or just playing some card/board games with my parents/any relatives close to you. one thing i absolutely love is to just keep my days unplanned. adults often say you have to plan things and have a schedule so that you know if youre on track or not. theyre absolutely right, you need a schedule so you dont do stuff last minute. but on the weekends, or just a day you can afford to just not do any school work, just keep it unplanned. do anything you feel like doing. for me it would be binge watching bts content for the whole day lmao. or it could be sleeping in, going to a mall and eating good food, anything! about not having motivation to reach your dream, firstly, im so glad that you actually have a dream. i myself dont have a dream, and i dont have anything that i want to be, because i just honestly dont know. theres honestly not much that makes my heart pound other than bts (lol). at first, i was really sad about not having anyt that i wanted in life, a goal, or just anyt. everyone around me had something to look forward to, like being a doctor when they grow up, while me, nothing. but after discovering the bts song "paradise", i learnt to take things slow. i learnt that its okay to not have a dream, its okay to not want to go to that destination straight away even if you have a goal. maybe you could take things slow too. youre only 16, you have a long long way to get to deciding your future! its okay to have no motivation to reach your dream. give it time. someday, your motivation will come, or you might even discover another dream. take it slow. for now, admire the good things in your life. focus on the every little thing that is different in your everydays. hope this helps you, and i hope that you know that there is someone out here who undersands what you are going through ❤ you are not alone!

Also there are many ryhme in his korean lyric. For example, "When all this fame turned into shackles", 'fame' and 'shackles' have almost same sound in Korean. Another example, "My start was poetry", "Start" is pronounced "Si-Jak", and "Poetry(poem)" is pronounced "Si" in Korean, so "Si-jak' starts with "Si"(poem). His wordplay and double meaning are more impressive and more poetic if you can read the lyric in Korean😊😊

I love how you get what he's trying to say so accurately 😭 because of how deep, symbolic and poetic his words are i feel like sometimes people don't fully get what he's trying to say. I do also feel like to understand rm's words, you have to have this certain deeper mindset. I listened to wild flower so many times and i didn't cry after the first listen, i cried after 5th one. Cause the thing is, not every part of this song is sad, but it's also not comforting, it's in between. If he wanted to he could write a song so raw and deep that we wouldn't be able to get of the floor from falling off our chairs after crying. But he conweyed his emotions in a subtle way, making it more reletable to everyone. I always got a feeling that namjoon doesn't like to potray himself as someone who should be pitied, even if he has been treated like shit, he would stay humble. It kinda breaks my heart, that he is still so insecure about his or bts's achievements. I wish he knew how many people are still alive thanks to his words or actions, how many people are happy because of him and his work.

And when RM says “please take my desire away from me” those two lines end with “ha so suh(하소서)” which in korean you would use when you’re not talking to another equal entity but to a higher being, like a god entity when you’re making a petition or a prayer request. So this made me wonder whether RM realizes his struggle can no longer be solved by himself or other people but by a higher power.

Great reaction, Nox. At the start of the year, Wild Flower was my first choice. Then i saw your reaction vid there, and i am glad i watched it again. RM"s songs are wonderous with layers of meanings and fruit for the mind. Inspiring. He really deserved a granny for the video and the song. He did it all while singing mostly in Korean. RM is not trying to satisfy the US market with this album. Instead, it was more attention to the fact that he is Korean connecting with his culture and ancestors, heeding their wisdom while forming his own through many experiences. At the end of this, RM is a normal human, a poet, in the eye of an incredible global wave. He does not want to forget what it is like to be human or treated as one. That's our leader. 😊💜

He doesn't want to be a firework in the sky and then disappear, he wants to be rooted to the ground, he wants to love and breathe..so it's flowerwork (of course the korean explanation has a lot more story to tell but the he thought about international fans too so it's easy for us to understand). RM is deserves the title of "the philosopher who raps", he does justice to rhythm and poetry. The female voice is of youjeen, she's a member of a South Korean rock band Cherry Filter, they are big in SK.

I watched twice and I can’t get enough! Thank you Knox for such an insightful and educated take. Really glad you dive into BTS the way you do because it feels like so many block off their minds to them out of ignorance and misinformation. We as fans, are always frustrated with their treatment and success being downplayed as overrated or a fad…imagine how they must feel. It’s almost like being caught between a rock and a hard place. They don’t want or need to be on top all the time, but as ARMY who love their artistry and want to help them have the freedom to break from the Kpop industry confinements, we support very hard. And that ultimately puts them on top sometimes - and when that happens we have corporations like YT, Spotify, Billboard etc doing their damndest to sabotage that. And that makes us fight more lol. Because think of artists like yourself, you deserve your time. But this industry is built to suppress that for whoever is paying their way up. Anyway off on a tangent. Just trying to put myself in Joon’s mind. He’s had a lot of his shoulders for years. I hope this album and time helps relieve the pressure.

That's why in the last sing he is the field and smiling."

RM recently talked about it in interviews, how when he was a kid he wanted to be a poet and eventually decided that rap (Rhythm and Poetry) would let him combine his love of music with his love of poetry. Also, I'm sure others have said this, but "Wild Flower" was RM's idea to make the Korean sound nice in English; the Korean title is "Flowerwork," because he replaced the first syllable in "firework" with the first syllable for "flower." just wanted to let you know that I absolutely adore your reactions, you're always so thoughtful and insightful and always hit the nail on the head every time. I hope you do get a chance to listen to all of Indigo, all the tracks are as well-crafted as Wild Flower, and I especially hope you react to the newest MV for the track RM did with Anderson Paak. So spot on Knox. I noticed a few things but I’m not 100% sure. There’s some parallels in the lyrics to his song Persona, such as the superhero lines and also the flower in the forest. It’s like he’s addressing the opposite now to what he spoke about then. I honestly can’t imagine how much they all need this time right now. BTS will be forever and they are a family bond no one can break. But they need to figure some stuff out alone. I really very highly recommend his whole album. I think he saying he lost his identity people only think of him as RM , he had to only think of RM and BTS but that not the only part of him he is Kim Nam-Joon as well, he can be both people. That's what I got from it. I could be way off though. It's a beautiful and powerful song. So proud of him. CG. said on 12/3/22 On his MV 3:03 that's what you call "Nakhwanori" or Traditional Korean Firework festival. Joon wants to pay tribute to the Traditional Koreans who still does this. The 'Nakhwa nori' festival is a traditional fireworks display that is held in May to pray for the well-being and good year of the people. Joon clarified that is not CGI, he has to close his eyes most of the time because it's dangerous for the eyes. Hope you see this comment. Alix DriftwoodDragons said on 12/3/22 I thought it was brilliant the way he was able to capture the fact that "flower" and "firework" are the same/similar in Korean by inventing the English word "flowerwork" ... and just the whole theme of Fireworks (high in the sky, burning brightly but brief) vs wildflowers (on the ground, blooming repeatedly, able to survive harsh conditions) was brilliantly done. Youjeen's voice is AMAZING, she's the lead vocal on a Korean rock band called Cherry Filter - and those rock vocals are so well used here. It's such an emotional song.

Similar to what you said, my sense is that he's already seen the brightest of lights and the highest heights, and now he wants to exist as something more simple, grounded, and steady. He wants to be like a wildflower - not as showy, just growing peacefully and enduring. It's such a great song that makes you explore a range of emotions. And yes the female vocal is so good!! She adds so much to the song imo. She's the vocalist for a Korean rock band, a legend in her own right. Mr. Knox, thank you for keeping us entertained. I would like you to react to the Japanese boy band BE:FIRST. Please give your reaction to the video of BE:FIRST's Milli-Billi Special dance performance. Absolutely shocking Mr. Knox. BE:FIRST is a boy band that is doing well in Japan. On December 13th, they will also appear at the Korean music awards ceremony AAA.

RM is such a genius and it reflect on his works too. Loved how you've broken down the lyrics. As always the way you literally think is really what I come for to watch.

Thank you for this reaction. I like when you analyze because it makes me analyse too. I tend to watch and re watch but i always get overwhelmed like it's the first time. With you I can pause on a line, on an image, and try to interpret.
