I was born in 1979 but I grew up listening to nothing but the good old oldies. Jimmy Boughmont and the Skyliners are still and always be one of my many favourites. Rest In Peace Jimmy. The world of oldies is a lesser place with out you. But you left us the best music.

As the story goes, when the Skyliners were booked at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, few in the audience knew they were white. Concert goers were apprehensive and reserved at first, but by the time the crescendo came, Janet Vogel hit those glorious highs, and Jimmy belted his string of "You-oo, you-oo's" , women jumped up and rushed the stage, in an emotional and appreciative sign of complete and absolute acceptance. If you remember and love this era's music, it was a wonderful time to be alive.
