I had ordered 2 for my 5wt reels--WOW--What a difference--Only way you could improve them is if you had different Colors-Orange, White, Red, Purple, Blue, Green, Black and Pink for the ladies. I am a Knuckle head myself who loves the new Knuckle heads---THANK YOU.

I just received mine I have a 4 to 5 weight Ross animus they recommended medium so I got one medium and one small just to try for myself and I was able to fit on the small knucklehead onto my animus real and I really like it solid grip smooth more comfortable I just wish I had fish big enough that would smack my knuckles largemouth bass don't really take off running like a Bonefish or a carp which I do want to try for some carp

The reel is a Cimarron C-3 that he gave me and on loan a Sage 7 weight rod. I like the reel but love the rod .

@@Madriveroutfitters yeah I’ve flirted with the idea of trying it with cork, to tie in to the rod handle. Haven’t done it yet though, I’m actually fond of the small wood stock grips on most reels Do you have plans for other colors?

I received my knuckleheads today and figured out a way to change the color... There are not many options unless you plastic dip them in liquid rubber but that would make them too bulky.. there are two options.. you can either lightly coat them with flex seal, or go to your craft store and get fabric paint .. at that point you hit it with a clear coat of flex seal to seal the color in. I'll let you know how it works out, and send some pictures.

I fish spinning and casting setups and I've always wondered why Fly reels have just the tiny little nub of handles. I know there's no hardcore horsing of fish in but I do see you guys reeling all the time and wonder why the reels don't just come that way.? Anyway I'm genuinely curious and I would love to try fly fishing someday!

What do you do on days when its raining? I went today with primarily dry flies even though there was a lot of top water action. I had one strike, but I tied a bad knot and the trout got away with my fly. What do you suggest for fishing during spirnkling/raining weather? Also, I would love a free hat!

Just a heads up I have a Ross animus and the small does not fit it I ordered a small and a medium I plan to drill press out the sensor of the small one hoping I can get the small one to fit

Update on the Ross animus 4/5 weight reel I did not need to drill out any excess foam to make it fit ,the small does fit on my handle a little bit more work but it's on nice and snug and it's great thank you
