I came up in 1980s Brooklyn and still live here. I’m a hip hop head to the core. NYC invented this artform. Biggie, Jay, Nas, Pun, Jeru, LL, KRS, Eric B-all of em. But imo the UK over the last decade has been absolutely murdering hip hop. Knucks to me is one of best lyricists and rappers of all time anywhere. Everything about him and his work resonates with me.
