You will need a knx sensor. This gatway don't support the Dali input devices.

Hi, Can we install junction boxes so that the chain is above the fitting but only one cable goes to the fitting. EG: Dali in - Dali out - Dali cable to light fitting? Daisy chain at junction box, 1 cable to fitting. Thank you.

It's not like Dali wiring. The light switches and the PIR will wire on knx and the Dali drives on dali wiring. Maybe I don't understood your question. But hope my answer is relevant.

Yes you can but it depends on the driver you are buying.

Hey man, A lot of your videos have helped me so much. I just wanted to know in terms of Dali & KNX How does the Dali Software connect to the DALI/KNX Gateway? Is it like a USB input or is it via the KNX IP Router? And can I use any DALI Software? Sorry I am very new to Dali.

You can connect by USB interface and IP interface. Each manufacturer will have slightly different ways to address dali. Some can be done by ets only while others needs some special tools.

I dont understand something . After downloading the program , when i open ibus , how do i individually address each dali device (i mean how to set destination address of each device ). Please help.

I think you mean ABB ibus tool. You will have to login to the device and then add the lights into groups. You can also control individual lights. The groups settings need to be done in ETS. And all the programming needs to be done in ETS.
