I do think they are good friends, almost like friends w/ benefits. Shinobu can tease and (sometimes) project subtly. She isn't mean. I feel Giyuu sometimes (Key word: Sometimes) can't tell when she's teasing or not. So only sometimes he gets his feelings hurt (not dramatically tho.) Almost like siblings. Shinobu being the “Annoying” one and Giyuu being the One who tolerates it- if that makes sense idk how to explain it properly 😅

3 students of Shinobu died, she took care of 5 children from the age of 14, in addition to running an entire hospital and doing the business of a demon hunter. I respect Shinobu for the amount of effort she has done to o kill demons but I hate her cockyness, Giyuu as a child had no parents/lost at a young age. He was left with his sister that was to marry an abusive man just so that they would not be homeless. Not long after you probably already know but he had run away from doctor relatives that he had been sent to because they thought he was mentally ill. Again you probably know that he was found on the mountain very close to death by someone and then handed off to his teacher, he was taught with Sabito, they went to the final selection and Giyuu got knocked out and taken out. When he awoke he had gotten news that Sabito had been the only person killed in the final selection causing him to become extremely depressed and guilty thinking that it was his fault that he wasn’t strong enough. He continued to kill demons and soon became a hashira, he didn’t feel deserving of the role and started to void others so that he wouldn’t feel any more loss, he then got bullied and got accused of thinking he was better then everyone. Next is manga spoilers don’t read. Whenever Tanjiro had lost his pulse before he became a demon he cried and sat by thin, when Tanjiro became a demon he was the first hashira to hold him back and tried his best with having only one arm, he still lived after the battle.

She might not have become a demon hunter at all, just because her physical body structure did not allow her to fight like "normal" hunters, but she did not give up and came up with a new way to kill demons. I love that she doesn't give up and doesn't close herself off from others, but for all the pain of loss, she still takes care of her adopted children, even when her emotions aren't stable. She does not cry and does not whine, she does her job and goes to the goal, despite all the difficulties.
