You can also use certain Lego pieces. They go on much easier and add a personalized aesthetic. A Lego heads slide right on.

I agree! The only annoying thing with the lego pieces is that they don't friction hold on and can easily slide off. You might be able to fix that by wrapping the knob in some painters or electrical tape and squeezing on the lego piece.

Also, it helps to put the slider in the lowest position to prevent any damage with the pressure.

My 2nd batch K.O. came with a black nub on the slider that suits me just fine. I didn’t even bother with the knob they provided with the slider. My K.O. works. Why press it (pun intended) for aesthetics?

Yeah same with mine. Pulled the black plastic off, and installed the knob, and broke mine. So yeah... keep it as is

Warming the knob up with a blowdryer also works well.

You'll have to be careful if you use heat! You don't want to accidentally melt the plastic.

I filed the inside of the knob to make the opening bigger. is that a safe option too?
@danklenTV7 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your approach! While modifying the knob's opening may have worked for you, it's essential to proceed with caution when making permanent adjustments. Alterations can sometimes affect the functionality. In my opinion, unless you are confident that you will not screw it up, staying away from filling down the knob would be a more sound choice.

dish soap does the same..way cheaper, i replace it with a lego technic,it feet like butter....
@danklenTV7 ай бұрын
While dish soap may seem like a cost-effective alternative for lubricating electronic devices, it's not recommended. Dish soap is conductive, can leave a residue, and may contain corrosive elements, posing risks of short circuits, interference, and damage to the device. Using a lubricant specifically designed for electronics is safer and ensures proper functioning without compromising the device's longevity.

Sure, if you want your fader to gum up permanently in a month. Next you'll be suggesting Elmer's glue.

A1 steak sauce also works well. Just a little dab to lube that bad boy up.
