What Ko said about the break adjustment was "In practice I can pocket ball on break at a very high rate but all of sudden today I am not pocketing any ball on break here. I didn't want to overthink it so I just kept on breaking the same way I practiced". It's not easy to translate on the spot so please kindly don't fault the person.

Ko Pin Yi and billi thorp is on a different level, thorp is a new player and lack of exp, you can see from his Stroke & Ball Positions, compared to Ko Pin Yi he already played pool since he was 10 years old.

Thank you for uploading this fantastic match! It was a late one for both players, almost playing at 1:30 PM? Wow! At 1:23:40, watch the 1 ball. Ko Pin Yi would have had a fantastic shot on it but it rolls onto the template rack and snuggles with the 9 ball. The following shot is fantastic, anyway, but the result would have been different if the template didn't cause the object ball to alter course.

On Thorpe's break, the 9 - 7 balls were aligned for a combo on the 7 to make the 9, but the magic rack altered the path of the 7 ball taking away this combo. Just watch what happens to those two balls after the break and see how the 7-ball moves over the template. How can this be right? It's the break where the referee had to use placers on the balls to remove the template off the table.

They both seem to be out of it. Neither is playing their A game but Ko is really struggling.. I favor Ko in this match. It's close but he cant get something going to save his life. Tied up at 8 tho. Anybodys game. I still lean towards Ko. I'm gonna look for Double J vs Ko ping Chung if they got it anywhere. That's a barn burner.

1:23:43 Why I don't like racking with templates... the 1 ball would not have ended up that close to the 9 ball... and could have been pocketed in the corner.

The shot clock was developed for amateurs who tend to take too long to shoot. What is the purpose of the shot clock here? How about NONE. It's just an annoyance to both the players and the fans watching especially when it goes off while shooting.

He is from Dayton Oh and played out of Airway Billiards but never goes there any more and he is in his young 20's.
