It's genuinely sad,one of the very best people to have played for this club. I really hope we will see him back playing within a year. He's also a damn good player.

Wes is a really good bloke and had a big part in our double promotion but he isn’t the level needed in the PL … his major strength was pace but every defender in the PL has pace and that massively reduces his effectiveness. Nevertheless I wish Wes a speedy recovery.💙

I'm a physio for the military. It looks to be an ACL injury and/or lateral meniscus. It's a classic valgus stress injury.

Yes not nice the impact certainly gives concern especially as he must have got an haemarthrosis following the incident

@@simonreid1002 Most likely if it's the ACL due to the large bloody supply from genicular artery. Cardinal sign of an AcL Rupture.
