Koala Build Series! This is part 1 on building koalas!
Today is Day 205 of the Metal Relic video challenge! The script is mine, the voice is AI's.
The amount of time it takes to search the far reaches of the galaxy to find the right parts is sometimes ridiculous.
I weld the larger nuts together to form the body and then smaller ones get tacked on top of the body to form the ears. Once I get them all tacked, they are flipped over and welded again on the back to add extra support.
Fun Fact! Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves almost exclusively. They have a special digestive system that breaks down the tough, toxic leaves into a source of energy. They can sleep for up to 22 hours a day. This long rest period helps them conserve energy and digest their fibrous, low-nutrient diet.
I move forward by welding the facial features together including the mouth, the eyes and the shnozz. Once all that is out of the way, I need to flatten out the tummy washers just a little bit so they cover the right amount of the bottom body nut. With the faces done and the belly washer adjusted, it's time to secure them using a few tacks.
Most of the time, I get the welds in just about the same spots on my creations unless something doesn't fit as intended. This is also what makes each one of my items unique.
