I hope these sweeties have survived the bushfires. Ashley is adorable!💖 I hope some of them have gone on to join Katrina's colony at Koala Gardens. Happily, the fires missed there, and the wild koalas are all safe and happy. I agree with Katrina. If more people can purchase good size chunks of land and make them koala friendly, then the sweeties stand a good chance. Australia's building companies must STOP going around willy nilly destroying everything in sight. Nobody needs that many new builds. Even we don't do that here in the US. Please don't destroy your national icon. Please. Don't put koalas, wombats, kangaroos, wallabies, birds, and other wildlife out of a home because you THINK people might want a new build. Did you ever stop to think people might be content right where thery are? My family has lived in the same home for over 40 years. I don't want to pick up and move. I had enough of that when my dad was in the Navy. I don't want to do it any more. I like the house we live in just fine. Sure it's 70 years old. Big deal. It has character, something a lot of new houses are sadly lacking. So please, stop with the incessant habitat clearing. Trees are nice. We just lost a bunch of trees because they were too old. Now we're planting new ones.

I agree i dont understand this stupidity... poor koala Who suffer from all this
@ecclestonsangel Жыл бұрын
@@santab8629 It hurts me so much to see them suffer- when people run over them on the road and leave them to die a horrible, painful death; when building companies and lend leasers(not quite sure what that is, must look it up) come in and bulldoze down trees, many times with koalas in the trees, killing them or leaving them to die, alone and afraid. Despite what some people think, koalas are sentient creatures. They have emotions and feelings. They don't deserve to die because they're not human. Where do we draw the line? When do we start taking responsibility and help those who had the misfortune? How much is enough to these people? Poor, sweet, innocent, defenseless koalas.

This may be a stupid question, but why and how do so many koalas have Chlamydia?
@bodybalanceU24 жыл бұрын
you could ask the same question about the human species but the koalas can also get chlamydia from their infected mothers pap (nutritious faeces they eat when still a joey )
@SUZIJ54 жыл бұрын
aoteagirl nz I know about the human species and it disgusts me. I think the beautiful koalas are better than that, but your explanation is quite informative. I don't understand why the vets and various organizations that work with them don't find a way to treat and eradicate it, and maybe after that they could work on the human species. Lord help us!
