@@KoaRothman Code Red just means huge swell coming, so any nautical activity is prohibited. It's a bit dumb in your case, but that alert is to prevent people from dieing. As any wide-range law, it can be frustrating, but it's too save people.

One thing I like is the analysis yall do on the size and frequency of waves and to a lesser degree your boards. I imagine high level surfers like yall are all like this, I don't think most laymen are. For me these videos are awesome because of the moments like at 3:08 where Koa uses the ankle strap of the leash to get wax off the bottom of the board, makes sense as a tool that’s right there but I’ve never thought about it. ✊✊

That's crazy how you talk about the coconut trees. I don't know for sure but I guess the tourism in Owahu is more than chopu, Liability with coconuts falling on tourist or howley. It's crazy I was in Barbados and we would give the locals are old baggies or trunks. And the locals would say do you want breakfast? They would climb the coconut tree barefoot bear hands get coconuts and run into the field and pick banannas, we would give Him ten american doalarms for breakfast and he said that's more than he makes in a month. It's crazy the little things that mean the most in life!!!

this is france: people considered as kids and gov should rule anything from what you do at the beach, forest, up to your garden and so forth. strong winds? access to the coast restricted. Hot weather? access to forest restricted (fire risk bla bla bla). Snow fall in the winter in the Alps? free skiing / snowboarding restricted. Warm temperature in the cities? gov agencies sending e-mail to employee to tell you to drink. Sharks in reunion island? surfing restricted. And french cops are... well. you understand.

There was cleanup and repair/infrastructure works going on related to the recent floods. They didn't want to have boats trying to go in and out of the harbour while doing the work. So it seems like the cops had a legit reason for it. But that doesn't make it into the video because then the surfers would look selfish.
