It’s so much bigger than it looks on film too I’d recommend to all surfers to stand before pipe and witness all those waves in person at least once in your life I didn’t try surf pipe out of respect that I was only there for 3 days but got plenty of action off the wall and rocky point

I lived on the North shore for almost 10 years. Even though it's super crowded now, there were definitely days when the circus was not in town and you could score waves. Just got to make the best have your opportunities when they come. There are late season swells that happen when sometimes there are not a lot of people around....back then
