I've said this on every single Kobe highlight video, and I'll say it here: Kobe Bryant had the best footwork of any player who's ever played professional basketball. I know he took cues from MJ, Olajuwon, and others, but the way he perfected it surpassed even them.

@@jermaineartis4323 exactly. Stupid James Harden to blame. His infamous foul call for 4-step back against the Jazz made it clear that everyone can get away with travel.
@studiouswadoo50273 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if they had this rule back then but when harden does it he has a gather step and that's the step back. So he dribbles back while stepping back which is the gather, and then when he lands it's 1-2 no travel cause it's a 3 step to travel.
@jermaineartis43233 жыл бұрын

@@studiouswadoo5027 gather step for lay up (aka euro step) or dunk attempt is fine. But for shooting fade away / 3 pt is just an aweful travel. Fun fact is if you do gather then 2steps (both feet on ground) then layup they will call travel. Go figure.
