Love MJ, Lebron, Wade, KD is absolutely insane, but Kobe is the only person I can sit and just watch highlights of without blinking. Moves are just slick and theres so much variety.

I just love how Jordan and Kobe made the game into an art form. I won't argue all time rankings because it's a stupid conversation, but as far as entertainment value, skill level, gracefulness, and fluidity...Jordan and Kobe are the best to ever do it. Those two are at the top of their craft.

I'm really tired of people comparing MJ to Lebron, and MJ to Kobe. First of all, people have to take into consideration that each player has a different role and position in their team's offense. Second of all, people have to understand that even the greatest players of all time didn't completely carry their teams to win championships without any help whatsoever. Jordan had Scottie. Kobe had Shaq. Third, you have to take note of the coaching staff and what era the players played in. For example, in Jordan's era, everyone was more physical but they weren't as athletic as this current era. And even if you try to say MJ was the best because of his 6 rings, Bill Russell had 11.

Dr.Basketball Money I hate how everyone tries to lump Kobe and MJ together like a 1A/1B type situation. Michael Jordan may very well have the greatest career of any athlete ever, in any sport. While Kobe is around top 10 in his sport. MJ was special, once in a lifetime. Kobe is great, but he isn't in MJs stratosphere.
@TyroneNBAFan
@TyroneNBAFan 10 жыл бұрын
To quote the great John Salley (haha) "it's a marketing situation". They use MJs greatness to sell LeBron and Kobe. Look at how successful Kobe has become by copying MJ and having ESPN/sports media push him as the next MJ. Most fans think they are 1A/1B. They have no idea that Kobe isnt even in the same realm as MJ as a player. They see Kobe micmicing some aspects of MJs game and their sold that he is the 2nd coming, lol. Sports media figured it worked pretty well with Kobe, let's do the same thing with LeBron.

***** Good point tho LeBron doesn't even play a bit like mj and kobe. Hes all driving in the lane create fouls and so on. Hes a freak of nature 6'8 250 lbs. Kobe is 6'6 205 lbs. That makes a BIG difference in their play style. But Kobe is way ahead of LeBron in terms of skill as well is MJ

That doesn't matter... it matters on Possesion time..when kobe is on the floor he has the ball 94% of the time and only passes off when he gets tired and someones open he doesn't allow others to create a shot for themselves except for pau. SG's aren't suppose to be holding the ball the entire possesion usually teams have a 3 pass system but once kobe gets it he holds it. sure he can create shots for others but he almost never passes it the first time he waits for his own shot thats why he averaged like 44% fg because kobe loves those fancy shots but they don't always go in... i could be wrong on the FG percentage because he might of shot a little better

there's only 2 gods of this game. Jordan and Kobe. Lebron needed another top 5 player to win a championship. 2 other olympian caliber players. Kobe and Jordan never needed that. As far as the Kobe vs. Lebron i'll say what jordan has said "Only Kobe has earned the comparisons."
@EnergeeZz

So, you're saying Micheal won a championship without Pippen and Kobe won a ring without Shaq, who could be argued as one as the greatest centers ever. Or when Kobe shot 6/24 in Game 7 and he still got the Finals MVP when Pau should have. Face it, Everyone needs a wingman or 2.
@masonwong2418
@masonwong2418 10 жыл бұрын
Jay Thompson Lol, Pau should have got mvp...? If you're talking about game 7 per se, that goes to Ron Artest. Otherwise, Kobe gets it for the series. He averaged 28/8

Lebron who? I would take kobe over ANYBoDy! Even Michael Jordan! Kobe had made for tough clutch shots than anybody! And if you disagree with that than you haven't watched Kobe's career in its entirety! Kobe is the GOAT! Better than jordan in my opinion
@elriqfree1641
@elriqfree1641 10 жыл бұрын
Kobe is an all time great. But why am I seeing people call him the goat...? He's about 7-8 all time, in my opinion at least. His flaws are he does not make his team mates better, and his efficiency is about 20th in the history. MJ's is still number 1, and right behind him Lebron has the second best efficiency. With Kobe only having 1 MVP and 2 finals MVP's, I would choose the better team player like Lebron James any day of the week. I am a bigger fan of Kobe's, but there is no denying that Lebron is the better player.
@elriqfree1641
@elriqfree1641 10 жыл бұрын
Bill Russel has 5 more rings than MJ. Kobe has 3 more than Lebron. And I will bet that Lebron gets a couple more at least. I hope Kobe gets his 6th, but I don't think that'll happen.

Samuel Rei Because Kobe micmics MJs game and ESPN has been selling him as the next MJ for nearly 20 years. People who say stuff like that are his fan boys, who have no respect or awareness of other legends or aspects of the game besides shooting fade away jumpers. I love some things about Kobe's game. His confidence (double edged sword) and his ability to create shots for himself and make passing plays when he is playing the right way. But most of his fans are so annoying and delusional it's hard to give the guy his due or put him/his career in its proper context. He is massively overrated, and I'm not even saying this as a negative because he is obviously a fringe top 10 player of all time, not top 5, top 3 or the GOAT.
