Kobe was just proving it further that he can singlehandedly take over a game, with just one aspect. whether it be scoring, or passing. and defensing. who cares if he had 3 asists. that doesnt take away 61pts. this guys the best

@jimbergalerg Jordan was also taking alot more shots in 92-93 than in 95-96, and still shot the same percentage. He also shot near as many 3's for a lower FG% in 1993, 35.2% to 42.7%, albeit 95 had a shorter line. That too helped drive his overall FG% down when compared to 95-96.

@jimbergalerg i understand was defensive rating does...it takes game pace out of the equation...it shows how teams defended regardless of how many shots were put up....it eliminates styles from different eras and puts them on equal terms.

Man, I can't say that I've seen Mike playing his best... I had the chance to see him returning from the retirement. Still, he showed everybody that he was a legend - I remember everyone criticizing him after he scored only 5 points in a game, then he scored 50+ points. But man, Kobe is incredible... I don't know, that's why I said "I'm starting to think that MAYBE"

One thing people gotta realize.. people will always be hatin on Kobe no matter how good he is. They dont pay attention to kobe's defense nor how much assists he gets per game. Since he scores so much they all assume he's a ball hog. This guy is clutch specially last few minutes of game. Kobe fans dont have to act defensive when he's getting bashed - it's just pure ignorance since they don't even watch all of his games and therefore they can't appreciate... just let them be. Enjoy

do people even notice that kobe will play even his finger is dislocated broken torn ligament all that stuff on his shooting hand even if his finger was falling off he prolly still will play no one else would do dat becuz they wouldnt no had to shoot the ball or they cnt take the pain but this guy is still dropping big numbers and hitting game winning shots and dunking its jus amazing i wonder if michael jordan would be able to do dat even if his finger on his shooting hand is fuked up like dat

No sense in arguing with people think that Kobe is better than Michael. Kobe lovers only knows the MJ that is here in KZbin. THEY don't know the SCOPE of the greatness of MJ. NO CLUE! Remember this MAN DOMINATED the league for a DECADE and LEAD the League in SCORing for a DECADE. ENOUGH SAID.

Defensive rating is the best estimate of defensive abilities...it pretty much takes game pace out of the equation...cuz to me, game pace is a STYLE...so let's check that out: 2009-2010 def. rating = 107.6 1988-1989 = 107.8....pretty identical to me

@blackadam06 wright, latrell sprewell, and others... it honestly was not hard to think up just some current players that are incredibly athletic... I didn't even go very far back to think of players haha

@jimbergalerg teams today shoot 48% from the floor as well, if you just take 2-point conversions into account and not the influx of 3-pointers that are being taken today compared to yesteryear, which is closer to the TRUE reason why overall FG% has dropped.

What are you crazy? Kobe Bryant has the ability to both assist and dominate in personal field goals. You act like getting 61 points is a bad thing, Kobe can turn it on any time he wants and score score score, or pass pass pass. Whatever he wants.
@bwink2313 жыл бұрын
@jimbergalerg YEP YOUR RIGHT...it was the half courts sets that did jordan in....not the fact he was playing in his 30's from a near 2-year layoff from basketball, shooting a heavy dose of fade aways, not being as athletic as he once was.....yeah your right

@LebronJamesHoopz Some of the game's GREATEST legends played in the 60s & 70s, but with all due respect to them and just being brutally honest, when Boston was winning all those titles, MOST of ‘em came in the early history of a struggling league, which only had 9 teams, played a MUCH SHORTER schedule and had NO teams west of Minneapolis until the Lakers moved to LA. Back then, a team only had to win 2 playoff series to win a title. 2 of their titles were against teams with a LOSING record.

@mikenotnumber1 "you can hear the Bulls announcers say "You [can't double] til he [touches] the ball"...now you can!" Quick question: what were Larry Nance & Craig Ehlo doing to MJ on the inbounds play right B4 MJ got the pass and made "the shot"?
@bwink2313 жыл бұрын
@jimbergalerg i never said anything about wilt you did...game pace is a STYLE. teams ran more in the 80's and with less coaching restriction..an uptempo game yields more possessions....pretty simple really

"In Thomas, the Pistons have a quick defender who knows the intricacies of their [zone defense] when Detroit is playing the Jordan Rules. Thomas [often] has the job of [bouncing around] on the perimeter, sometimes making an [all-out] effort to [double-team] Jordan. Sure, sometimes he [should be] whistled for [illegal defense], but he [rarely] is." -- Jack McCallum: "Mission Impossible"; Sports Illustrated, Nov 6, 1989
