RIP!!!!❤️ TO THE MAMBA! 🐍 I grew up dirt poor a couple blocks away from the staple center. I remember we would watch the championship parades from our balcony which pointed towards the staples center. Me and my 5 brothers and sisters. I can honestly say I've never really jumped for joy in the life I lived in the streets of downtown LA but when I watched Kobe I was the happiest kid. I remember lying to my parents that my stomach hurt so I didn't have to go to church and stay home and watch Kobe play on Kcal9 which was a blessing because in those times it was a free channel to watch the games. When I was forced to go to church we would tell my dad to put the game on the radio to hear the game brodcast as soon as we got in the van. Growing up was hard, violent, scary, but getting on that court and tryna ball n win like Kobe was something that I can't describe but I don't think I've ever been as Happy or peaceful. You wouldn't believe it if I told you.... Now that I'm older and a father I know I must apply mamba mentality and succeed with my family KOBE FOREVER!❤️

The most complete player in the game, plain and simple. Kobe's arsenal was unmatched, he could score at will from any spot on the floor... even if a defender thought he had him locked up, he made those tough shots look easy. Not to mention, his form was poetry in motion.
@quakertown12 жыл бұрын
when Kobe was 27, he scored 81. 62 in 3 quarters. he had 9 straight 40+points games. he had 13 straight 35+ points games. Kobe could shoot and had great footwork since he entered the league.

I always hated Kobe because he killed my teams suns over and over and over. But now that he’s gone I can’t help but to appreciate how amazing it was to watch a guy playing with literally half his body broken and hurt dominate the league. He didn’t care how many shots he took.. his will to win it didn’t matter how much of a cushion we had. Every time he shot to reel his team back in I couldn’t help but to feel nervous. His ability to make insane shots no one should ever make is just simply amazing. I didn’t grow up shooting a crazy shot yelling any other name but Kobe’s... Thank you Kobe for what you did for basketball

Kobe should open a footwork clinic when he retires. Tim Duncan's nickname is the "Big Fundamental," but I believe that Kobe is the most fundamentally sound player in the game today. It's really fun to watch him down on the block.

This dude deserved to see his daughter play in the WNBA. Kobe’s honestly my goat and that’s with much understanding of the MJ era. He had the star power, hype and athleticism but why Kobe’s game appeared to be so fundamentally sound and beautiful to watch is beyond me. He learned from many, not just MJ
@frankmyers220310 жыл бұрын
He'll pass Jordan on the all time scoring list soon.
@jackofalltrades457210 жыл бұрын
I'm a Laker fan but honestly, that doesn't mean much. Kobe has already played more games and more seasons than MJ. And MJ missed the season on his 2nd year because of an injury, not to mention the fact that he retired multiple times. Oh and did I forget to mention that he played college ball? At his usual pace, give MJ the same # seasons as Kobe and I'm willing to bet that MJ will pass Kareem on the all time scoring list handily. I'm a Laker fan but I'm an NBA fan first.
@frankmyers220310 жыл бұрын
@JackOfAllTrades I never tried to imply that Kobe is the better player when compared to Jordan,obviously when it coes to all around basketbalk skills Jordan wins.I'm not the only one saying that eventually Kobe will pass him on the list lol that's all I said.
@pablomp744310 жыл бұрын
Jackofalltrades, you still got to admit that the stuff that Kobe did at such a young age is just simply amazing.
@jackofalltrades457210 жыл бұрын
Galaxy Party When did I say that Kobe wasn't amazing at any age? Kobe was a late bloomer. Sure he had the potential early on but he had to develop because he was so young when he got into the league. Kobe's gone a long way from when he got those 3 airballs against Utah back in the 90s. But still, passing MJ on the all time scoring list when Kobe has already played more seasons and games than MJ is not really an argument in favor of Kobe. Not saying you guys explicitly said that but when people go around stating stuff like that, the underlying tone is usually "Kobe is better than MJ." That is far from the truth.
@frankmyers220310 жыл бұрын
That's you're state of mind,but I also dislike MJ D riders who are so blind they can't see beyond his nuts.I'l go ahead and say that Reggie Miller was a much better 3-point shooter than Jordan,but I guess you'll deny that as well.
