It was regular lol if the Lakers didn’t blow you out or win easy you had to worry about Kobe doin some hero shit to keep the game close, even if he didn’t hit every shot and they lost he pretty much always hit some crazy one on one shots to make it close That’s why he had 12yrs of his career where he was in his prime (all star level or higher) and in those 12yrs he went to 7 finals and won 5 rings And 3 of the years when he didn’t make the finals he had Kwame Brown/Smush Parker/Luke Walton and Lamar Odom as starters with Brian Cook/Chris Mihm/Young Vujacic/Bynum/Farmar off the bench which has to be the worst supporting cast of a top player in nba history at least that I’ve seen, So literally in the 12yrs where he was all star level Kobe he had at least 1 other all star on his team 9yrs and in those 9yrs he went to 7 finals and won 5 of em but people don’t really pay attention to his career in detail like that and the reason I always thought he was so hard to beat was because even tho he had the notion of being a ball hog he was very willing to play a team game to win, he’d run the offense through Shaq or Pau and play the team game to beat you, but if the team game wasn’t working he could start doing some crazy one on one shit hitting miracle shots still giving the team a chance to win as he was the greatest one on one player in history

The Lakers were a full unit of veterans that were able to complement Kobe and Pau. Phil talked about Kobe messing up and being forced to play team ball eventually. “By himself” 💀LeBron isn’t the GOAT to me but there is someone who was able to singlehandedly drop Eastern Conference teams like the Pistons by himself. He nearly beat the damn Celtics at the height of their powers in 2008, with a WORST team than Bryant! So Kobetards use this nugget in their argument when it’s actually a completely moot point. reasontm1 I debate TMac's performance because everything worked out for him on both ends of the floor while Toronto was still scoring on LA. Also you have to factor in how much this game meant to the Lakers who were clawing their way into the playoffs while TMac's team was in a relatively spot position. When you factor all those things in, I think it goes up to personal preference.

This was the last time I seen Kobe really be "great." He was killing it this season right up until he tore his Achilles tendon. EDIT: I came across this comment again and I thought to myself I initially made this comment in the middle of the 2015-16 season. Kobe in a unforgettable performance willed the Lakers to victory one last time in the last game of the season and the final game of his career. The guy scored 60 points and won the game for them. The last time I saw a vintage Kobe Bryant play was his very last NBA game.

If anyone is a true fan you know this is the season kobe was putting up similar numbers to lebron and KD. This was one month before the playoffs as the lakers would eventually win the next 12 out of 18 with Kobe going crazy. Kobe goes on to tear his Achilles two games before being the 7th sead in the west. They were looking extremely dangerous with Kobe but ended up getting swept first round by who later ended up losing to the heat. San Antonio. Kobe was arguable never the same after that but he always played his heart out. Rip legend thanks for the memories. #1 in my book

It’s not even the fact that these are 3s. It’s the level of difficulty. This guy has 4 arms waving in his face and still converting. Silly stuff man
