I have major issues with this level, for one let's just look at the level right now, we have some of the most epic and beautiful decoration I've seen from a level at the first and last cube parts. Then there's everything else which feels like a blurry mess and an incoherent mess of parts that don't work together at all. Looking at the level as a whole I just feel like its "wooo scary fast black holes" which is SO DISAPPOINTING! If you don't know earlier the level actually felt like it had a theme, originally the theme felt like (note: I'm uncertain whether or not this was intentional) you first travelled to a black hole, went in it, crossed the event horizon, approached the singularity, were at the singularity, and then inside of it, and then exited out of a white hole in a parallel universe. At the time this concept was amazing but now it feels like a shadow of that, it feels like the vagueness of the theme broke the level into lameness. This is because there's so much lost energy within the parts, the first wave used to be far more extreme with a very strong white screen noise kind of effect going on, it felt as intense as you'd expect going into a black hole to be. There also are some fanmade parts too, of which there was this one part that placed in what is now Konsi's section, inconsistent with the rest of the level? Yes but the intensity again was so much better, it was so chaotic and at the time I loved it. There was also a fanmade part before Konsi's that also fit with this really well (albeit lacking some intensity of its own, although I sort of like the idea of giving the player a sort of break between the event horizon and singularity.) Finally there's this black hole in the background at the final wave, and this will no doubt draw some to madness but... I personally dislike the black hole because originally it was a part comprising of solely the structures with a dark background which at the time was literally perfect. It was chaotic and empty kind of like what a singularity would feel like, it felt "broken" in a sense. The final cube has always been unfitting to this potential theme I think, though you could just inverse colour and then all of a sudden it'd fit amazingly, finally you could call this something else, not "KOCMOC UNLEASHED" maybe something like "Parallel Universe" since the level in this case would represent something like that. 90% of what I said was almost certainly just a me thing, but my god this level had wasted potential. If you look at older previews you'll find that it matches with this "going into a black hole and entering a parallel universe" vibe so much better.

I agree to some extent. I think this level falls back a lot on shaders and less on design. This makes it much less interesting and unique than the original since so many levels now just do the same thing - a glitchy level with a lot of shaders. Think find the answer and dissonance and kaleidoscope. Sure, it was the point of the level, but that doesn't stop it from being a negative though that the design ends up falling to the wayside. However, the fact that its mostly just a clean black with white and no rainbow or static does seperate it somewhat from the glitch levels. As well as of course the design, which is excellent in some places - in most of the level in fact from 0:30 to the end. It's just the first drop that ends up bringing the level down since it feels like a layout with static effects to cover that up. It's especially bad since the first drop is the most important part of the level. However, I really don't think that's the main reasons people don't like this level. It's more the circumstances that surround it than the actual decoration. People will try and find problems with the decoration but that's more because they're already looking at the level in a negative light. For example, the fact that's its a remake of a remake (kocmok is a slaughterhouse remake) that intends to be top 1. This isn't in itself a problem since as long as the level is able to differentiate itself from the prequel enough (which I think this does) its OK. But given the circumstances, its likely this decision was made not to make the level better - in fact making it top 1 makes tbe level worse - but all these decisions are instead to make the level more viewable on youtube and get showcase money. Cherry team is clearly capable of making interesting original levels that allow more than 2 people to play them, but they havent really done that instead favouring what getd them youtube views. Couple that with the stolen art in the original kocmoc, vernams general attitude towards queer people, the several reports of harassment towards ct creators by other members, and the angry rants on the cherry team twitter about how art is objective actually and you get a lot of people who dont want this level to represent the community as top 1.

People often criticize the Extreme Demons levels a lot because it doesn't look like their favorite Extreme Demon Level that took 7 years to develop and has 2 Million Items, when Bro, It's not just that you can't create something like this or create a level like this in Tidal Wave, but that your PC can't run your favorite level that took 7 years to develop with 2 Million Objects. (Although in my opinion, I didn't like the glitchy TV Effect that's all over the Wave part, they could have put more effects instead of just one during the Drop)

Opinion: the cube parts in the beginning and end look very good and have some crazy detail put into it. But the drop feels a little rushed to me. Don't get me wrong, the overall deco looks fucking good but the drop doesn't feel as "space" themed as the name implies it to be. also, some old parts in previous seen showcases looked better to me than some parts seen in this showcase :/ also, I do have the feeling that the 2.2 effects might cause performance issues for players who don't have a decent PC, phone, etc. Can't really judge the gameplay because it's literally just КОСМОС but with crazy buffs. I'm really disappointed on how this turned out tbh, they removed some REALLY good parts and replaced them with mid stuff, I will admit the last part was improved, but I miss the asteroids and the part with the satellite antennas

i mean, I kinda understand that people would be rlly upset if the level got a rework so the gameplay could be more visible and enjoyable, But yall know this is a top 1, and i dont think in the times we are rn, gameplay really matters in that position. Its just an awkward feeling, to see this level changing over and over again, i just can't take it serious now. it was, and it is, a level just meant to be watched and never played. this is the first time I can confidently say the LDM of *some* (key word: some) parts are arguably better than the non-LDM variant. Specifically the part with bop's black hole (which is non-existent in LDM). The LDM version of the wave parts all look combined and clean, unlike the full detail variant which doesn't have this... feeling of a full and completed project. FNM has said this in the description, and I completely agree.
