this drama is too extremely melodramatic, the first episodes and in ah's mothers actions are too unsatisfying. the drama is good if you keep on watching but its hard to take in and watch alone/binge watch because of the story that is too already been sensitive and but then made even worst, its like you are even committing also a crime as you keep on watching

To put things in perspective, at the time there was a SoKo law which held surviving person involved or complicit in a suicide attempt as legally liable and they were a struggling family. Her parents didn't handle things well, but it was (to me) a combo of laws, fear, hysteria and fear of social stigma. Ep 1-2 hit like a punch in the gut. In my humble opinion, knowing the social situation/ accepted behavior, possible financial hit and parents' fixation on their "perfect" oldest daughter definitely hit like a ton of bricks. The power wielded by "helicopter tiger mother"/top-tier politician/chaebol was vile but somehow in-character that (to me) underscored her mother's feeble and unfair treatment of her own child that was heavily influenced by stigma of those connected to suicide and legal system stacked against them. I wanted to choke IA's parents even more than the dead boy's mother. You are so right about visceral response to entire unfairness/mistreatment of her battered girl whose abuse she and her husband missed entirely. It did feel like a crime. Great drama overall, actually in part because of handling such difficult topics. When I recommend it to others, I always tell them to brace themselves and about the (now, I believe, changed law). The brutality of adults at the funeral was insane too.

She is sorry that she is dating Jun Hwi, Jun Gyeom's brother. Her mom has been believing a lie that Jun Gyeom died saving Cheong Ah and so she meets up with Cheong Ah to make sure that she won't forget Jun Gyeom. But in reality, Jun Gyeom committed suicide due to guilt. Cheong Ah has never told Jun Gyeom and Jun Hwi's mom the truth because she didn't want her to be hurt. And now that Cheong Ah has found out that Jun Hwi is Jun Gyeom's brother and that the mom also knows that Cheong Ah was dating Jun Hwi, she feels sorry that she might have hurt the mom.

No the girl was going to commit suicide because of bullying and the brother tried saving her because she was trying to drown herself. But while helping he died.

@@junkyubaby4169 no no no.. its only the story she made up.. his brother had depression because he killed someone on a car accident but then his mom helping him to hide the evidence His guilt was eating him alive, so he commit suicide
