This drama would have been much better if only they focused on the trio and their friendship. And if there wasn’t any unnecessary romance between them. They should have stayed as best friends. That would be helpful to break the taboo of “ girls and boys can’t be close friends”

Anis Nabilah A legend doesn’t have to be famous... I understand why it was bashed so hard in terms of popularity. However, the drama is so much different without the main character and the story. If you believe that the Tae Hee didn’t have enough “chemistry” with Si Hyun, then you clearly didn’t watch it well enough. I admit that the trios friendship was nice, but that is a totally different relationship from the one the main characters were supposed to have. That was highlighted in this and the English story so many times. I also loved how badly Tae Hee got to mess up the trio. They were delusional and selfish. By the end, they learnt their lesson. That was the point. Did you even watch this clip? Who takes revenge on a stranger that was accused of being likeable? Tae Hee didn’t even know them. She didn’t care. She was a respectable and realistic demonstration on an actual character. Her goal was to focus on school, and o move forward from there. She rejected that ex so many times. Why does Sooji want to take revenge on this poor girl? That was because Sooji couldn’t accept the fact that everything can’t go her way. She was hurt so many times in the show, which she deserved. Sooji was blinded by privilege, happiness and advantage. When she saw that her ex liked Tae Hee better than her, it turned into envy. She didn’t care that he left her. She HATED the fact that he left her for Tae Hee. A poor, and somewhat ugly (in Sooji's eyes because Sooyoung is everything but ugly) person instead of her. After she was his with the realization that she was the problem, then - and only then - she became a better person. The drama was really underrated. It was hard to deal with and accept, yes; but the fact that the story was twisted into something special makes it really interesting. The trio could’ve gone on with the story without Tae Hee, or any of that drama. They could've been best friends and still keep that friendship in the drama. Though, it would just hit the viewers harder because they were really not okay. They needed this experience to open their eyes and see the truth in everything. They needed to learn that they would just hurt each other anyway if they continued to be selfish and have the same attitude. You see, in the end, this opinion of mine is my own. Every single word I wrote on here is just what I believed the story did, and why I liked it. I read and watched so many things similar to this, and I could see the end of their friendship from far away. In fact, any sane person could. I don’t mean to insult your personal thoughts on the drama, but just keep one thing in mind: Everything that happened in this drama was meant to.The trio would inevitably end, and the producers and screenwriters made it happen in the most lenient way possible. To end this off, I’ll leave you with a question that I want you to think about CAREFULLY. Do you really believe that ignoring all the Tae Hee drama, and the romance between Si Hyun and Sooji, the friends could’ve been friends? Do you REALLY think that they would survive with all of that with that mindset. Breaking the taboo of boys and girls can’t be friends is NOT what the drama is about. If that’s your priority, then you need to re-evaluate them. The drama explained clearly why they had to focus on themselves and reduce the damage they did to each other. I thought that was nice, and is the reason why it’s a legend.
