Cauvery Sankramana, an auspicious festival of Kodavas, is celebrated on the first day of Tula or Tholyar month of the Hindu calendar. This festival celebrates the birth of River Cauvery at Talacauvery located on Brahmagiri hills in Kodagu.
Kambeyanda Pushpa Devaiah has beautifully penned 'Teerthodbhava'. This song was written in 1998 for a program in Doordarshan.
The whole orchestration is lead by Kambeyanda Devaiah Uncle in the mellifluous vocals of Palanganda Meghana Nachappa
