Is OpenShift an operating system? Do I load it onto a virtual machine? is it software that I download? Does it replace RedHat? Some screen shots of whatever this is would be nice. I have used Docker and Kubernetes many times but I do not understand what Red Hat has to do with these technologies and why I would buy OpenShift from them.

From what I understand, openshift is a platform as a service where kubernetes is container as a service. Openshift has a lot of built in features along with a User interface and allows you to build your projects faster, as it handles the heavy work, where in kubernetes you have more control but you navigate and develop through command line, meaning that you have a loooot or studying to do with kubernetes, where openshift is more like plug and play with advanced security and support. Kubetnwrein kubernetes you need to configure a lot on your own, along with security. Openshift provides you built in solutions in aaube better user interface. And it's built on kubernetes and docker. I suppose it's a nice tool to start with, get to know the basics in a friendly way and then move to kubernetes.
