K & R's storyline with their kids is so contrived and over-acted as to be ridiculous to viewers. They try to convince us that they're just a "regular loving family", but we're not buying what they're trying to sell. They may have convinced themselves, but it's all just an act to try to hang on to the show and their $$.

Malignant narcissism - that's what his behaviour is to me. His highly inflated sense of self-importance is wearing me out after all these seasons. Just when I think he can no longer surprise me, he opens his mouth. The thought of living or being married to this man is nauseating. And frankly, I have to question the judgment of not only Robyn for staying, but also of Meri, jaynelle, and Christine for staying with him for 20+ years. They've had to of known what he was like, and to have him exposed to their children makes me question their judgment as well.

Robyn is every bit as narcissistic as Kody is - but she’s the vulnerable/covert narcissist. They tend to gravitate towards each other because they feed each other’s needs. As far as the OG wives, they have consistently said that Kody changed once Robyn came into the picture. The OG wives kept his ego in check because they would mock him, make fun of him, and expect him to meet his obligations. Robyn stroked his ego. She appealed to it and he began to like how he felt around her more than the other wives. So Robyn really was the catalyst for the grandiose narcissism that’s been on display since late Vegas and definitely the move to Flagstaff.

It was ingrained in them to be OK with him making decisions even though it didn't benefit them or their children, giving up their freedom, with Meri it was going back to school even though she had one kid versus six, he didn't want to spend any money on her even if it enhanced her well being & potentially earnings. They all put up with it til he became abusive & refused to be a supportive non-violent husband.
