I find this very hard to believe. I don't like K&R at all, terrible people and terrible parents. But to get disability checks you have to go through a medical diagnosis, and it has been stated that Robyn diagnosed him herself, without a lot of medical documentation to prove the dx - it wouldn't be possible to get disability.

Those children are not allowed to freely watch television - the hair bow isn't a fashion statement, it is a way to convince Kody that they are still children (and perhaps too young for him to lust after). My daughter is in her 20s like Dayton, and has Aspergers. She can not live independently. They forget a lot. They leave things out, like milk, eggs, etc. She’s getting services and gets SSDI. The services are to help her get a job and have someone to check on her while she’s at work. It’s hard finding these services but as a mother I have to constantly advocate for my daughter. Do I think Robyn is doing this? Well, if he’s living in a rundown trailer that has no heat, then no. I don’t think she’s doing anything for him. Plus the fact that he graduated college and still isn’t working? Well, it could be that he may not know how to drive or he can’t drive like my daughter isn’t able to. Believe me, it still takes a lot of work to be an advocate even when they are older. It takes a lot of time out of my day but I don’t mind because I love her so much. I was blessed to have her in my life. I don’t think Robyn sees that she was blessed with Dayton.

I do not think it impaired his vision. He has a driver's license. He graduated from college with high honors AND a double major. He received an award from his department. IF he is on the Autism Spectrum (vs. Just socially immature due to Robyn isolating him) he is high functioning, and would be very employable in the tech or business sector! I do not think he is eligible for SSI--he is not disabled, and he has never been employed or lost a job due to hus "disability". Gwen is on the Autism Spectrum. There are varying needs, but she works full time and is in school full time. She also has a mother who encourages and supports her emotionally/psychologically.

Here’s another thought, what if Dayton wanted to move into his “own place” and Robyn didn’t want him to be on his own so they came up with the trailer idea. Bro he has Asperger's. I have Asperger's. It's mostly a social disorder. I'm a valuable worker because I'm smart and come up with useful ideas in my field that increase efficiency for everyone in my department, but I can lose track of time or be unwittingly curt so people consider me difficult, but I have advocates in my bosses and coworkers that have recognized my value. I'm fast and good at what I do, I just need a bit of help staying on track and double checking tone. I also get overwhelmed a bit easier than others, but that's when being to recognize triggers and signs you're unraveling come into play. If I feel like I'm getting overstimulated, a trip to the bathroom is in order to come back down. It only takes a few minutes, but having coworkers that understand is key.

Dayton living in a trailer on the property, where he can go in the main house when needed isn’t exactly kicking him out. Garrison and Gabe would have been living on the streets if Janelle had complied with Kody’s demands during Covid.
