With "saving Christmas" valentine refers to one of the other ninja nurses that worked with her to hunt skullgirls before they got bodied by Marie, you can see the one in question on her story mode's beginning and ending, Christmas is the one with red hair, glasses and the same body type as valentine, the others are easter, patty and hallow since the last hope had festivity codenames (Also also, it's implied that valentine liked every member but that she appreciated christmas a lot, since valentine's birthday is on actual christmas and she had a rebellious rivalry with her) You can see more of them on the mobile game's origin story for valentine

If I remember right, during one of the hangouts, Ms. Fortune's VA was watching people play and decided to make up Robo Fortune as a gag as one of the players was using regular Fortune. Saying stuff like "GO! ROBO FORTUNE! GO!" and "I BELIEVE IN YOU!" (there's fanart of Fortune with a control stick cheering on Robo Fortune). So eventually Robo Fortune was going to be added as another joke character similar to Fukua's reuse of Filia's animations but I think the Indigogo made enough to make her a full character leading to all the new animations she has now. Also, when the creator of Skullgirls was selling his art book, I bought one of them and he asked me if I wanted a free sketch. I wasn't expecting a sketch so off the top of my head I asked for Robo Fortune waaay before there was any work-in-progress of the character (I think like a year or 2 beforehand). So I have one of the earliest sketches of the character along with roughs of the different heads she was going to have for attacks >w>

(Originally they was just joke characters but they gained a ton of attention from the fans, so they became full fledged characters) Fukua is one of Brain Drain's creations. He was experimenting with cloning and mixing souls: one being a clone of Fillia and the other being a soul of a silent assassin.
