i partially agree, specially on the removal of Adv/Ex choices, even more knowing that Extra is the original style, and Mugen's use both Extra and Advanced style combined. Kof 98 Ultimate Match tries to bring it back lowering the gauge needed to fill the bar plus storing the Maximum instead of instantly triggering it.

AST means 'Arranged Sound Tracks'. OST of some games were based on MIDI with their motherboard chip, SO Developer release Arranged version like CD music. We can call them CD remixed version. but now days, They put sounds in game completely. It's reason why there's no AST for lately games.
