I'm half Nigerian and half jamaican.. u guys don't understand the feeling I get from this ... This makes me remember when my Nigerian dad used to joke around in a Jamaican accent to tease my mom or seeing my beautiful Jamaican mother in a gele ... U guys just don't understand🥺🥺. Rest in peace daddy i love u Now that I'm wittinessing a Jamaican woman emulate one of the most powerful nigerian songs of our generation I can connect to that energy because without I wouldn't have been born into this world This is a reminder that we are one people .. the evils of this world seperate us , but look how our ancestors are encouraging us to combine ... Regggae was the wave and now afro beats is .. imagine if both fused ... That's like Bob marley and fela kuti wearing the patara earings and fusing .. that type of energy will literally liquify half of the hate in this world today ..embrace !!!!! Edit : I thank everyone for showing love .. I'm glad my words were able to spread positivity

@judechukwuelue6175 жыл бұрын
Malik Knight expand on that statement as it’s not clear what you are saying . There is more that binds us together than splits us. I see a lot of KZbin etc pitting Africans against other Africans in the diaspora and this only sows more discord.. when we start mutually exchanging and appreciating each other then we grow and are united.

You can us lazy and we don't want to take advantage of oppurtunities given to us. Your family members earn y'all against keeping us as fri NDS and Bri going us home to marry y'all. Y'all toy with our women and then go back to y'all own. You migrate to our Caribbean countries and look down on us. I for one am from the Caribbean and I don't care for this unity. We are 50 yrs removed from y'all and it should stay that way. Y'all so quick to remind us that we don't know our ancestry yet want to come to countries that we built to reap the benefits.

Koffee is the definition of what it means to be a real *Pan-African* . Unity in blackness is what our race needs. Her lyrics are sharp and clean too. She does not sing about slackness. I respect her for doing this burna boy song. It is true. Had Bob Marley and Fela Kuti been alive, they would have united Caribbean and Africa back together a long time ago. So lifted by this performance!!! Now that Caribbeans can travel to most sub-saharan countries *VISA FREE* , the only way is up. *NIGERIA LOVES YOU KOFFEE. WELCOME HOME*

jumanji145 Clearly you know little about our Caribbean heritage. How ignorant can you be to think that we ALL solely come from Ghana 😂😂😂 In Jamaica, we are a mixture of Ghana (Akan) and but also Nigeria (most likely Igbo...possible Yoruba too). And both influences can be seen in our culture if you do your research. Many of us will also have ancestral ties to Benin, Cameroon and Congo. Because it was the Europeans who created today’s borders.
@Bunfire1235 жыл бұрын
jumanji145 “Caribbeans” are not a single ethnic population. Europeans traded with and kidnapped multiple African ethnic groups not only “Ghana”. So for you to say “Caribbeans come from Ghana originally” is stupid. Tell that to my Cubans who retained Nigerian Yoruba religious systems. Or Haitians who have retained culture linked with Benin and the Fon people.
