I appreciate that he took time to think about his answers. I think in interviews and for all of us in life in general, there can often be such a fear of 'awkward silences' that we try to give the fastest answer without thinking. He took his time, processed his thoughts, then spoke them out loud.

Kofi’s talk about suicide hit. I was in a dark place contemplating it myself. My mom passed 3 years ago and without that rock pulling me of the ledge, it seemed logical. Mind you I have a loving husband and family that love me dearly and that’s what I had to tap into to turn that around. Also was listening to an old Tranformation Church sermon, and Pastor Mike Todd was talking about inclusivity in the church. 1 Cor 12:12-27. I always felt like an outsider. Like I didn’t belong to this or that crowd, but I will Always be accepted into the Kingdom of God. That was powerful to me.

I appreciate his feminine energy so much ❤ As for the part where Issa disrespected the 'old heads', not cool. Our parents don't know what they don't know. They did the best they could with what was passed down to them and they didn't have the internal capacity to think/do better. We have different tools and capacity and it's our responsibility to change the narrative going forward. Future generations will see where we missed the mark and we will need the same grace too.
