Really i feel like it's been like that since probably 2006. Unless you mean compared to the stuff wayy before i started listening. I kinda think of liquid dnb as the electronic blues

I like thinking of as the soft rock of DnB. I don't always want super heavy drops and it be too fast DnB, I like this because it's still DnB but less intense and I bet other people do too, that's where part of DnB went to this style
